We choose the Hotel Des Arts as the web pictures showed it as a small very French Hotel. We were not disappointed from the moment we arrived it was great. Charles at reception explained everything, where to eat as it was late even went through the Paris map with us. It got even better the next morning when we met... More

A fantastic little hotel on a cobbled street leading up to Montmartre. It's a charming location near some lovely back street bars and restaurants, minutes walk from the tube and the centre of Montmartre. The hotel is bijou, very tastefully done. Staff are very helpful and there was a small bottle of champagne on our arrival. The rooms are clean,... More

We stayed one night here after trip around France before flying back to Australia.Great welcome by the very efficient Juliette. We booked the large romantic double room but due to another unwell guest we got the room next door to the romantic double. Upon questioning this with Juliette we were given a reduction in price to the double room rate... More

We booked the 3-night package to decompress before the flight home following a hiking trip through the Dordogne Valley. The Double Room Superior with the Romantic Package was an excellent value and very comfy with a newly updated bath. The English speaking staff was pleasant and accommodating. After the 140 km hike, we couldn't stop walking and used the excellent... More

This is the second year in a row I've stayed at the Hotel Des Arts Montmartre and I was not disappointed. I've been coming to Paris for 20 years and I have to say this hotel is without question the very best small hotel. The rooms are immaculate and the hotel itseld is very well appointed in a nostalgic French... More

I am from Germany and I stayed one week in Paris to meet up with a French friend of mine and some of his friends. We went to see the places of interest, we visited Disneyland and enjoyed a good time in this great city. And the hotel had its part on the greatness of this trip. When I first... More

We travelled to Paris on our friends honeymoon !!! So it is thanks to them that I write this review. Montmartre is a beautiful area and I for one would be happy to spend my days there and go nowhere else. Others may disagree but for me the mix of art, music, food and the whole ambiance is fantastic. The... More

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel. As other reviewers say the rooms are quite small . Our view was not great as it was warm and when you open the window you look directly into someone else's room. Also in the room there is not enough space to put things on particularly in the bathroom. Maybe another shelf... More

Hotel Des Arts is up on the hill of Montmartre (18th Arr) where you have great views of the city and the cobblestone roads that embrace the European charm that every visitor seeks. The hotel is easily accessible by metro via the Blanche or Abbesses station. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from each station and there are many restaurants,... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
