Cute, little hotel not too far from the Sacre Coeur and very close to Moulin Rouge. The rooms are tiny but clean and comfy. The staff is nice by french standards. The room didn't have a great view but we didn't mind.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in September 2014. The hotel is in an ideal location as it is close to the Sacre Coeur, the centre of monmarte and also a short walking distance of 2 metro stations. The hotel is quite small but it is very clean and tidy. The lady at reception is very pleasant... More

We stayed for one night to enjoy a bit of the charm of Paris before going to the M&O fair. The choice could not be better, the hotel is lovely at the heart of charming Montmartre, and the staff was very nice and helpful. We hope to stay there again next time we visit Paris!

THE MYTH IS FALSE. FRENCH PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE!!! Ok. my review is long overdue but better late than never!!! Came here last year around mid June to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon reading other recommendations, I emailed them beforehand to see if we can have a room with an Eiffel view. They were very kind with our correspondence but... More

Stayed at Hotel des Arts with my girlfriend for a Christmas trip (Dec 2014). It's a very small hotel but at the same time feels extremely welcoming. Juliette, who works at Reception, does a fantastic job. She assisted us whenever necessary, as well as recommended nearby restaurants and places to visit. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

We stayed for a week back in May a couple years back and when you make your approach on a very steep street it's very unimposing. Inside we were met by a very friendly lady who showed us to our room which was in a courtyard round the back. It was enchanting. The room had all we needed, a double... More

I booked this hotel for a one-night stay in Paris to celebrate a birthday. The location is great - the immediate vicinity has lots of bars and restaurants and you are not far from the metro. The room itself was very clean, and the shower had excellent pressure! I felt that the decor was slightly outdated but that is my... More

I visited this hotel in January 2015. The hotel is small, very clean and well located in a perfect Parisian neighborhood, with lots of small shops, bakeries, bars, cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful, particularly Juliette (front desk) and who endlessly provided excellent service and assistance. I will easily... More

As it was my birthday we had booked the 'romantic double room' which we got for a fantastic price by booking directly with the hotel. We had room 41 on the 4th floor which has a balcony and was absolutely lovely, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. The bathroom had the prettiest tiling and gorgeous toiletries. The deal included champagne, chocolate,... More

We found this hotel in 1990 - then quite simple but with an accessible price in a delightful area. When we returned in 1996, the reception area had been upgraded and a pleasant lower-level breakfast area had been added. The rooms remained small and spartan, but Montmartre was still a great area to stay. Last week we were delighted to... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
