Recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in November. I arrived well before check-in and (expectedly) my room was unavailable. The staff member apologised for the inconvenience (although I was early so it wasn't their fault in any way) and offered to store my bags while I checked out the local area. The staff member (Laurel or Laurent?) spent... More

The room (101) was smaller than expected, then when my girlfriend took a (2 min) shower the first morning, the whole room flooded. It took us 30 mins to mop up the water, and although we were offered a different room, it wasn't ready at the time (and we had somewhere to be), so I had to go without a... More

My wife and I were travelling Europe in May and Paris was our second stop. Besides the fantastic location and eateries around, the hotel staff were very friendly and very accommodating with our questions & requests in particular Ms Virginia & Mr Laurent. On our last day in Paris, we headed for Brussels, Belgium. Upon arrival to our hotel in... More

Great location! You can reach the hotel from CDG Airport with direct train! Friendly personal. Breakfast was nice but better to visit local cafe near hotel (a lot of them). I recommend this hotel and would stay once more!

What a fabulous little hotel. Tucked away just around the corner from Chatelet metro station but there is a connecting underground walkway to Chatelet les Halles which links to most lines including the airport. Welcoming, friendly and helpful, the staff were ready to advise on anything needed. Like all Paris hotels, the rooms aren't big but the space is well... More

A bit pricey but what isn't in Paris? Twin beds were not provided as requested; fortunately the room had a king split bed so they separated it and made it up as 2 single beds...... but it did take them all afternoon to amend. Breakfast was €13 per person and not a great selection for the price. The blonde girl... More

A really lovely boutique hotel situated right in the middle of everything yet on a nice quiet street. I booked a suite room which was lovely and very spacious by Paris standards. Service was excellent - only downfall is we had to wait almost 45 mins after check in for the room to be cleaned and also the suite had... More

This was the perfect hotel for our stay! Great location near Louvre, very nice rooms with big butterflies on the walls and great colors. Good bathroom and a nice window to the street. The hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was good. The heating worked and the wifi worked and was free. Only a one time password for the wifi,... More

Spent the weekend there with friends. Bed was comfortable although couldnt sleep with the street noise on the first night so had to move to the couch which was in a separate room and was much quieter on the second night. Rooms had two large flatscreened tvs but no mirror except the one in the bathroom. Didnt have breakfast at... More

The location of this hotel is perfect--the Chatalet/Les Halles Metro/RER station is steps away, excellent restaurants abound, and there are plenty of shopping opportunities. The Seine, Notre Dame, and the Louvre are all within easy walking distance. I have been using this hotel for years, dating back to when it was named the Hotel Violet. I have mixed feelings about... Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
