Good location and a small but cool room, the price was excellent (I get there in the Independence day and I paid like $70 dollars per night). Also the breakfast was pretty good and the personal was nice too.

We booked the room because of the price and the convenience to the metro. The description of the hotel on hotels.com boasted air conditioned rooms, airport shuttle, and free wifi. The only thing the hotel actually had was free, spotty wifi. The rooms are tiny but that's to be expected. When we got into our rooms, none of the power... More

this hotel has 2 things going for it.. 1) it's cheap. 2) it's right by the porte d'orleans metro. the beds were thing. the bathroom had a musky kinda smell to it. the 1 elevator was approximately 3x4ft (not exaggerating). there's no airconditioning. exceedingly no frills. but if you're looking for something comparatively cheap in paris. it's not a bad... Staff was really helpful, room was perfect for our needs a family of four. Elevators like a lot of Europe are very small can barely hold 2 people. There was no Air Conditioning which was livable with the windows open but we were on the second floor facing the street s it could only be done in the early morning.... More

This is my first time to Paris. Hotel Design is very unique and I have had a wonderful experience. I have used it as a bar for travelling to Niece, Lourdes and Marseille. Each time I have returned it is like coming home. I had to renew a U.S. Visa and the hotel held my passport in the safe until... More

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and my room was gorgeous .I had my own little balcony but please note you are next to the main street so it will get noisy but you will get a view. Restaurant , supermarkets , bakery and metro are right at your doorstep , so thats... More

Besides being far from downtown, it's close to a metro station (Orleans) and it's quite easy to move around. The room is okay. The breakfast is good. People were quite nice -- and I'm a not a French speaker!!

This is a good hotel for Paris. It is very clean (looks like it was recently renovated), decent breakfast (eggs, bacon & some cheese, cronflakes, yoghurt, fruits), well positioned for visiting the city (although it's not on the most touristic arrea, just outside the hotel there is metro stop - Porte d'Orleans- in less than 30 minutes you can get... The hotel was situated on a main road so was difficult to park the car and unload the bags and is quite a walk away from the car park. Although it was located right at the subway and was ten minutes away from the city centre. The hotel and room was decorated nicely and was very clean. The room however... More

Rooms are clean and comfortable, but a little bit small. Staff is friendly and, with the metro stop right outside the door and a bus stop just nearby, it's easy to go and visit most of famous places in Paris. The coffee/brasserie just at the left corner outside the hotel is nice for having breakfast. The only negative point might... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
