A pleasant hotel with nice, but very small, rooms. No tea/coffee making facilities but brilliant, powerful shower. Staff are polite if not effusive. A decent location, there's nothing much of interest near the hotel but it's an easy walk to the main sites and two metro stations. Our big gripe was not with the hotel itself but with the pub,... Nice 4 stars hotel close to all beautiful places in Paris metro lines are close by as well. Rooms are small but beautiful bit dark. Shower/bathroom is perfect. Some of the personal are not so easy. The night porter was very nice and helpfully. Didn't take breakfast there are enough beautiful places to have a breakfast around the hotel. Breakfast... More

We arrived at night at the hotel and it was very quiet around the hotel then, so we presumed this was a dull area. The daylight just lit everything up, the place just livened up in the morning. we did get a room that faced inwards so we didn't have much of a view, but that's the only flaw i... More

This was our first time visiting Paris, and we were welcomed by attentive and helpful staff that could speak english fairly well too. We brought our 14 month old baby girl with us and the hotel provided a very nice baby crib in our room. The room was fairly small but that is normal for downtown Paris hotels. The room... More

After trying many boutique hotels in Paris over the last few years, I think I've found the perfect hideaway. Four star hotel that feels definitely more like five. Stylish, very comfortable, great design, modern, cosy, moody without being all artifice. Great location next to the Madeleine, great staff. Highly recommended.

We wanted a hotel in a good location, where we could guarantee interconnecting rooms for our kids (something that isn't particularly easy in Paris), and Le Mathurin fitted the bill perfectly. The rooms weren't huge but we didn't expect them to be: but nicely decorated, clean, and with the amenities we needed including Nespresso machine in each room. No noise... More

Why are the hotel rooms in Paris often so dark? You really can't see anything once the sun has sets. The lamps are small lounge ones with a yellowy light and wall paper is either dark brown or burgundy or something similar. It would nice with some white and bright colours and good lighting so you can actually see. Also... More

I travel to Paris quite a bit but this has become my new base in Paris. Its reasonably priced, great value for money and very pleasant. The decor is really lovely and the rooms boast great toiletries which is always a bonus! Breakfast was fresh and in quite pleasant surroundings. Most importantly, its in a safe area (important for a... More

The hotel is situated in a very convenient location next to the metro station , clean rooms and many restaurants near the hotel . I can say that the hotel had a good ratio of value for money . Definitely visiting again in any upcoming business trip in Paris .

Lovely hotel in a great location. The public areas are plush, quiet and a pleasure to relax in. The décor is lovely and I'd have loved to have a nose round the rest of the rooms! On the whole, staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the room service offered in the late evening was limited. Despite stating room service... More
