Trip adviser Do not accept Room 57. We are accustomed to relatively small rooms in Paris hotels but have never come across such a tiny and inadequately equipped bedroom as no 57 at the Mathurin. The double bed occupied almost all the floor space, so if I wanted to get to the other side of the bed my wife had... More

Staff helpful and friendly. Excellent room with outdoor deck and jacuzzi. french hotels are renowned for being minimalist in their services unless you go to the very top end but this was good while slightly understated. Clean, efficient and non-intrusive........and an honesty bar; a rarity these days

My favorite Hotel in Paris. Feels both professional and family-owned. Neighborhood is nice, both quiet and central. Having been there quite a few times, there are big disparities from one room to another in terms of decoration and size. I've always seen it as a nice surprise!

Location of hotel was good, Near 2 metro stations and close proximity to champs elysees. Nice decor and fluffy pillows. Just hope some of the service stuff at the reception could be more friendly. I think in the service industry you have to be professional regardless of what race your clients are, overall still a very comfortable stay for us.

I stayed here a year ago and thought it was lovely. But going back was a shock. The redecoration is tacky but unimportant. I got a decent sized room last time but this time a glorified cupboard with barely room to get around the bed. The plumbing is lousy, sinks and baths dont drain and the toilet goes on and... More

Booked this hotel via booking.com on a 'value deal' for 3 nights for my partners 30th birthday. Received email confirmation following day and booked non-refundable eurostar tickets. Then received email advising wrong price demanding I pay full nightly price (£300 instead of £30!) No consideration of a discount for their error in pricing, no direct contact from hotel nor an... I use to stay at Le Mathurin when I am in Paris. I feel I have all of Paris just around the corner, can walk to most of what interest me. And on the small streets around, you find bars, restaurants and shops. Perfect located, quite, discrete and feels private. Yes, the rooms are small, but nice and "efficient". However,... More

We stayed at Hotel Le Mathurin for a weekend vacation in Paris. The locations is very nice, with quick access to most of the main sights of Paris either via foot or via metro. The room was surprisingly not as small as we anticipated for Paris (still small, though) and the design of the room was very good and made... More

Mine was a 2-night stay at the end of two weeks in Spain and France. The hotel is conveniently located to Gare Saint Lazare in a surprisingly quiet part of central Paris within easy walking distance of L'église de la Madeleine and Place de la Concorde (and all the major tourist sites easily accessible from there). The downside of "quiet... More

Just got back from 2 nights at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Great location close to the 2 big department stores, Galleries and Prontemps (both beautiful). About a 15 minute walk to the Champs Elysee and many other tourist sites. We travelled over from London on the Eurostar and you can easily get the train from the Gare... More
