Upon approaching the hotel it is not 100% clear that the hotel is indeed the 'Arvor Saint Georges' as the name is no longer above the door or on the front of the building (as shown in the images) so we entered cautiously when we checked in! The exterior of the building was clean and well presented and the street... More

Cosy and comfortable. Free Internet was very useful. Quite clean as well. No air conditioning so have to keep the window open. Although the hotel is not on a busy road, the accoustics in the street amplify any ambient noises - quite annoying if someone is having a party. Overall good hotel but maybe slightly over priced.

Hotel is located in small (and quiet) street, which makes it quieter than most other hotels. Rooms were really clean and airy with big windows. No airconditioning, which can be problem during hot summer. No closet or wardrobe, just a small hanger. Very expencive breakfast, but several cafes nearby. Superior Double room is just few squaremeters bigger than normal room... More

Really got lucky when I booked this hotel. It's an a very quiet area but only a ten minute walk to Pigalle and probably 1 minute to the metro station at St George. The room was more than adequate, though I did have a superior to be fair, and was a good size for a Paris hotel. Bathroom was again... More

What a fantastic hotel. My wife and I booked this "3 star" with a little trepidation as we had booked another 3 star hotel nearby, a few years ago, which was terrible, but after reading the reviews here, thought we would give this a try. What a revelation! The hotel is on a quiet street, only 50 meters from the... More

It is increasingly difficult to find anywhere in Paris that is half-decent for under €100 a head, and this is one of the few. Not sure how much travelling 'Flipster' has done, but the Rue Ferriere is a small, quiet, partly residential and partly offices, side road in the St Georges area. This is a popular inner city residential area... More

Well located cozy Hotel, in a walking distance to the most visited spots, but still in a quiet and silent street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms.

We would thoroughly recommend this wonderful little hotel to anybody who prefers small, modern and stylish over room service and porters. Much bigger rooms than hotels in other quartiers, simply and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and great views over Paris rooftops. Really helpful staff, great location and try dinner at Cafe Jardis up the road - stumbled across it... More

OK, so the 1st thing you will experience is the dodgy old RUE L'FERRIERE as you walk to the hotel, shame the RUE is a little run down and vandalised, graffiti and plasterwork falling off the buildings, so obviously you are a little wary what the hotel is going to be like as you walk into it. On entry the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
