We staying in early August (I know it has taken me a while to write this review ) and absoultely loved the hotel. I have been to Paris before but this was a first for my husband & four year old daughter. We were thrilled with the hotel and staff. The room was very comfortable and we thought spacious. We stayed here during Summer - we have 4 children so we needed 3 rooms for the 6 of us. This is expensive anywhere in Paris, but it was money well spent at this charming hotel. There was a significant discount for the family package, and by email negotiation, they included breakfast for all of us. We had adjoining rooms... more
Lucked into this hotel after our original choice was under renovation. As others have noted, the rooms are small but that didn't bother us and the attentive staff and other details more than made up for it. Our stay was all inclusive so that the champagne, wine, and snacks in the lobby as well as made-to-order breakfast in the room... more
We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. The room was nicely appointed but very small. The closet was tiny and there was no other storage for clothes or luggage. The bathroom was also small, but there was a separate water closet. Location was very good and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great and there was coffee... more
Esprit is all about the Left Bank! A great location set in the most fashionable district of Paris, surrounded by the loveliest boutiques and shops, all types of galleries and patisseries like Pierre Herme and Gérard Mulot. It is truly in walking distance to the heart of Paris... the Louvre, Musee D’Orsay and Notre Dame. The hotel, as you know,... more
I have styed at many of the large, famous 5* hotels in Paris. This time I wanted to have something different and chose Esprit Saint Germain. This hotel is very pleasant, elegant and low-profile luxurious. No gold glittering, no fancy tricks. Small, boutique style. Very frienly staff. more
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in May and had a great time. We had the lowest level room -- and while small as expected, it was very nicely done, with a king size bed, flatscreen TV and a nice sized tub in the bathroom. They put fresh fruit in our room every day along... more
I stayed at the Esprit Saint Germain in February 2007. Eventhough the hotel was quiet empty at that time, I really didn't like this place. The rates are above all very expensive for what it is (small rooms, amenities unknown) The hotel is to modern and to dark. The staff has no organisation, the concierge are not real clefs d'or... more
I just returned from a 6 night stay with my daughter. It was perfect. Perfect location, perfect rooms ( albeit small!!), wonderful amenities. As posted before the extra touches were quite special and made the stay very comfortable. A few minor comments... there is construction in progress on both sides of the building so there is some noise and hammering... more
