I travel to paris a lot. 8 times last year i know the hotel standards pretty well. I arrived on an early flight from HKG, so i got to the hotel at 8am. I was delighted when the man told me my room was ready, however if i wanted to check in i would have to pay for the extra... More

Dear Sir, It is very important that every guest we are welcoming share his own personal thoughts and feelings about us. We thank you for doing so. We are glad you could have enjoyed our early check in program. Usually hotels only offer the possibility to leave one's belongings and come back at check in time. We understood it can... More

I book a room for a full week. Let's be clear here I have never left a place before. So first of all it is supposed to be a 4 stars hotel. I am talking about the hotel only, I did not try the restaurant. I was well welcome by the staff, smily, helpful and trying to make something happen,... More

Dear Guest, It is important that each and every guest passing by our place shares his own personal thought about us. We thank you for doing so. Decoration can be a very subjective matter. We can understand the discrepancy between our ground floor and our rooms might be quite difficult to catch. Our goal is to seduce our customers with... More

This used to be a daring hotel many years ago that went into bad management, I suppose...so it has been bought and nicely refurbished until this last autumn by the guys behind "1K'. With graet intentions...just that somewhere along the way they seemed to have lacked money and filled the space with a lot of very cheap and bad materials...passing... More

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review. We have quoted all of the remarks you have put to our attention. Be sure most of them have already been discussed and decisions were taken. We are glad the Peruvian theme chosen suits you. We hope you have also tried La Mezcaleria, our hidden speakeasy. Have you already tasted mezcal?... More

I had the opportunity to stay at the newly remodelled 1K last month and I pleasantly surprised as soon as I stepped foot in the hotel. I had stayed at the Murano Resort (which occupied the same building before the hotel went through a complete makeover) before and it was great to see that the entire concept was refreshed. The... Dear guest, We thank you for sharing your moments you had with us. It was a real pleasure to be receiving you. Added to the restaurant, have you had cocktails in bars? With the Peruvian accent of our place, our bars are also unique: one of the first Pisco Bar and the first Mezcaleria of Paris. Next time you come... More

How pleasant it feels to finally enter a hotel/bar/restaurant decorated in the most original way in East Paris. I went there for a short 2-night stay and I was offered an upgrade to a Deluxe room (very spacious, not exactly in line with the Peruvian decor of the Ground Floor but who cares). Big plus in the rooms : their... More

Dear Jordanolebon, It is always great to read such a pleasure in one of our guest's review. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts about the 1K Paris with the Tripadvisor's community. As you underlined it, our rooms - spacious and soflty decorated as it can be - will soon be connected with the Peru concept as our bar... More

At the beginning hotel seemed to be nice but a little bit strangely organized - reservation process took around 4 days, and I was asked several times to send back same info (probably different people from front desk didn't share e-mails with each other). After arrival everything was set up. Hotel in good location, nice surrounding, looking friendly outside. Ground... More

Dear Sir, It is important for each and every guest to share their own personal thoughts regarding a place they’ve stayed at. We thank you for doing so. As far as we understand your point Sir, the hotel’s style didn’t fit your own taste. Our rooms are all decorated in a white immaculated design, from our king size bed to... More

the price of the hotel doesn't worth the service you get. the hotel is very nice and design oriented and in a really good position, but the service is awful. breakfast is sooo poor. I paid 18 € for 1 croissant, one slice of bread, 1 mini marmelade, 1 mini butter, orange juice, some fruits. there wasn't a real buffet.... More

I am writing this review in the hotel foyer as the advertised wifi does not work in the room. In fact nothing much does work properly except the receptionist and she was lovely. Forget room service and this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Fire standards are compromised by poor maintenance. A hole in a fire door where... More

The hotel is centrally located, the décor and furniture are nicely set. However, I have experienced an uncomfortable stay due to several reasons. I have dialed room service extension as stated in the In-room directory; the extension was corrupted. After calling the reception, they told me that this extension is not programmed. They transferred me to the restaurant team whom... More

We stayed at 1K in the Marais for five nights. Our room was quite large with a very comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom was incredible with soaking tub, two sinks, separate shower, towel-warming rods, and private toilet area. The hallways and elevator are dark, but not so that you cannot find your way. Breakfast was nice. The hotel was completing... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
