We had 9 people, with 4 rooms for our 3 day say in Paris. The location is excellent (across the street from Notre Dame). The rooms were the cleanest of any place I have stayed in Europe. The front desk staff was extremely helpful when we needed it. If you like to stay someplace unique, then this is the place... More

A budget hotel, however, as other reviewers will have noted, the location can't be matched. Knowing that everything in Paris is ridiculously expensive puts everything into perspective does it not? This is a historical location and kind of a strange set up with the hotel, but we loved it. Reading the reviews, I have to agree that I would be... More

We stayed in May 2014, for 8 nights. Yes, we knew it was not the Four Seasons, we didn't expect that. Everything was simple, but that was fine with us. The bed was comfortable, the towels, though not new, were soft and absorbent. The bath/shower is handheld, and we soon discovered it was easier to sit and "shower." Not a... More

The location of Hospitel cannot be beat, and the price is excellent. If staying in a hospital doesn't bother you, then not much else will. The room is comfortable, service is excellent and the skylights have breathtaking views. No, this is not a high end hotel. But it has charm and history. In fact, Île de la Cité (the island... More

I've been debating writing a review, but decided I would based on the last two. My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of February. We will probably stay here again, but I do agree with the negative comments. It is a very, very strange place--and I would not want to stay there alone, not because... More

Let's be real--if you go to Paris to hang out in a hotel room, rethink your trip. This room was very basic, but provided a good night's sleep. I loved the idea of staying somewhere with so much history. We only stayed one night. If we stayed longer I would have inquired more about the television and non-working phone. But,... More

I checked all the Trip Advisor comments before I booked this hotel. I thought it would be really interesting. The location cannot be beat as it is next to Notre Dame. There are two metro stops close by. The people at the hotel desk were pleasant. I thought it was expensive compared to other hotels I could have booked. I... More

Four of us stayed here in 2 rooms just before Christmas. My spouse and I are both in medicine and we loved the history of this place. At first our teenage children were a bit freaked out about it being a working hospital, but they quickly got into it. And the location is amazing. Maybe 30 meters from the brass... More

I stayed here for the first week of January and found it to be exactly as described in the reviews here (thank you, everyone, for your honest comments - they were a great help in choosing a place to stay). The hotel and room were both small, unpretentious, quiet, comfortable and warm (very important when it is 2 degrees C... More

First is beside Notre dame really close, its a public hospital that few years ago it became in a hotel, as hotel is really basic but as hospital its important to know that this was one of the oldest hospital created in the western history, was founded by priest centuries ago, and the actual building was build almost 150 years...
