I stayed in the apartment pictured in the hotel's page on TripAdvisor with three children. Nicely decorated, quiet, good enough light, good privacy. Other apartments may have more or less light, noise, and privacy, so YMMV. Facilities are Paris-styled, very small but with ingenious arrangements to get the most out of the limited space. Overall we found it a much... More

Okay, let's start with the good stuff. The staff here were lovely and very helpful. While the system is not a typical hotel - apartments with an unmanned security door instead of a typical hotel lobby, there were staff available most of the time. One piece of advice would be to get things squared away - if you're arriving after... More

We stayed here twice last fall when we spent a month in France. We stayed three days the first time and a week when we returned to Paris. There were 8 of us, so we took three rooms that connected together with kitchenettes. We had two kitchenettes each time which was nice. We enjoyed this perk, cooking most of our... More

We reserved this apartment through Expedia which we totally do not advise to do as they are totally inept and charged us a final price that was not quoted online. The Expedia staff was not able to explain clearly why there was a difference in price. Anyhow we had reserved a room upstairs for our family of 6- 1 bedroom... More

In august 2015 I had to mix up a job trip in Paris with some holydays. Because of some job reasons we had to modify booking details and Helzear people were fantastic helping to change date and room. I stayed there two nights, with my wife, in a beautiful apartment with all you need for an excellent stay. Also in... More

The hotel (more of an apartment) had very comfortable accommodations. It was perfect for small families. It doesn't have air conditioning but that wasn't an issue for us in July. This hotel while not in the city center has a very convenient location as the Metro was very easy to get to and the lines it is on lead straight... More

The accomodations were very nice. We were able to have breakfast (fresh croissants and fruit) every morning in the apartment with the kids, which saved time and money. The location is perfect. A short walk to the metro and a community bike station near by as well. It's a beautiful neighborhood and on the top 10 areas to visit on... More

We have recently returned from a two night stay at the Helzear Rive Gauche in Monteparnasse. We are a family of four. We had originally booked to stay at the Helzear on the Champs Élysées; however we were called by their booking manager two weeks before our stay and due to a booking issue, were moved to the Rive Gauche... I stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was a clean, comfortable, quiet place, and I felt very safe. The staff was so nice and helpful. I ordered the breakfast which was fresh and plentiful, and used the nespresso machine often. The market was very close, as well as the train and metro stations. It was all really quite perfect!

A nice place to stay especially for families. We are a couple with 2 kids, regular hotels would be too small, but this was perfect. Also since we booked last minute, we got a very good price. Overall one of our best lodging experience in Paris.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
