Booked to go here in June for our honeymoon but had to cancel. We have just returned from our 2 nights away, this is a great little place to stay and explore Paris. Loads of places to eat, drink and enjoy in the local area, ideal for the metro to travel around and only 10 minutes to Gare du Nord.

A good location for sightseeing and eating out. The reception staff were friendly and were happy to look after luggage after we checked out on departure day. We had a deluxe double room at the back which was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Other reviewers have mentioned the lift and it is indeed tiny!

The hotel is prrfectly located for sightseeing, walking and the metro. We did find the rooms to be very small and the elevator is tiny! I'm glad my traveling companion and I booked separate rooms! My room was on the front of the hotel and amazing quiet. Some problems with wifi, but after talking with the front desk, the issue... More

We broke our return train journey to Britain here on the way back from Barcelona. It was very handy for the Metro. The hotel was spotless with lovely decor. I have to use a lift and this must have been one of the world's smallest! It claimed to hold 3 people but this would have been a challenge, let alone... More

My fiancé booked a trip to Paris for my birthday celebrations. We stay in room 602 at Hotel Atlantis for two nights - this room is on the top floor and is their deluxe double- which is their most expensive. The room was just my taste, very kitsch, romantic and quirky (this hotel would not suit people that like smooth... More

This hotel is perfectly located, clean and comfortable. We had a small, but very quiet room in the back. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back! (I personally don't mind a small room when I'm traveling. After all, we spend most of our time outside sightseeing, eating, shopping, etc... I am, however, very demanding when... More

My husband booked this hotel thus had no expectation. We came in and it had a tiny reception as well as elevator but when we saw our room it was nice and clean. In addition, their lounge/breakfast room provided a pleasant surprise with a skylight, antique cum modern furniture with a red wall as a back drop. Having a simple... More

It is always a pleasure to stay here and we always choose a good-value, small, quiet room overlooking the courtyard. Last night the spotless space again met our needs. The double bed was very comfortable; the large wardrobe accommodated our belongings; the refrigerator kept our drinks cold; and good lighting made it easy to read. This room's bathroom has a... Incompetent front desk staff. Overpriced breakfast. Teeny elevator that fits one person and one bag. Rickety furniture in our room. Our seventh visit to Paris and this hotel was the worse. Location is good and close St Germain de Pres.

This charming hotel is perfectly located to visit the highlights of Paris. We had a nice, clean, room with a big bathtub (which we enjoyed with a bottle of champagne procured at a nearby bottle shop), and french door-style windows that opened onto a courtyard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The elevator is tiny (just fitting my husband... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
