I travelled to Paris for New Years Eve with my wife for our 1st Wedding Anniversary as part of a deal, the hotel it self was ok and what you would expect of a 3 Star continental Hotel, the entrance is very stylish and modern and I thought happy days this is nice, a Lady whom I assumed wasthe manager... I stayed in this hotel with my family (two rooms) for a week. Never again! The service was terrible. All the senior staff (manager, owner, senior clerk) are not there during weekend and don't really care. Knowing that, the clerks in the lobby allow themselves to be rude, deceptive, and in general contemptuous. In this week I had two main... More

Centrally located small hotel. Staff was ok, not over-enthusiastic, but kind and friendly. Rooms, though small (but then this is Paris!) were clean. Only problem - previous guests had smoked in the room and the room smelt a bit, even with airing and opening windows the smell did not disappear entirely, but then I suppose it is guests' and not... A friend and I spent 4 nights in Paris and found this location fantastic to get around! An expensive city this hotel was great value for money, especially when you ae not spending much time in your room! We found it close to restaurants and shops and easy transport access to all of this big sites! Staff were all very... More

If you are looking for a good value near the center of Paris, this might be the place for you. Yes, the hotel was under construction for the entire time of our stay, but at the rate we were paying, hard to complain about this really. We felt sorry for the hotel staff who had to constantly work in the... More

The hotel interior was a construction zone, I don't think the carpet on the staircase had ever been vacuumed, couldn't get internet unless I was standing in the dark (light bulb out) hallway. Night time receptionist was not very helpful at all. My room was 4' larger than my bed & the you would not be able to get in... More

Bad smell in the hallways, poor service, dirty carpet, ants all over the bathroom, aircondition out of order. It was bad. The staff ordered a transport to take us to Disneyland and to the airport, both times the taxi were late with more then 30 min!!! The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Our bedsheets were never... More

Looks like construction is turning into the dry-wall phase. Yes...the carpets are dingy from construction but once in the room, we were very pleased with how clean and roomy it was. Large bed plus an additional twin bed which we didn't need but used as luggage space. We were promised parking and were thrilled to find it available right in... More

Had booked a three-bed room. When we arrived, the room was not ready until late in the afternoon. The whole reception, except the counter, was demolished and there were cables hanging everywhere and a cloud of dust all over. The next day some order had been restored, but the walls in the reception are were still gone. The lift worked... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
