Noisy, poor service (no in room telephone service for 3 days despite numerous requests), intermittent wifi, horrible breakfast and daily stand up rows between guests and staff. A horrible smelly street too full of lawless teenage delinquents selling drugs!! The only good points were the bed and nice cold air conditioning which is unusual in Paris. These were offset by... I usually come for business in Paris and I don't care that much about the hotel but this time I got very upset. First of all the hotel is in a tiny little road (cul de sac) where I seen very bad people both during day and night (not hotel fault btw...). Having said that I take the keys of... More

We booked 2 nights at this hotel when we took our Son to Paris for a few days in the Easter Holidays. The location of the hotel suited us, and we walked to all the places we wanted to see, apart from when we did a bus tour. We arrived really early & the receptionist was friendly and offered to... the room 101 was very big and confortable, excellent bathroom with bathtub, big size double bed with great confort! breakfast is just ok, not many options. very much satisfied. location was excellent in a quiet dead-end street but only 2 min walk from a huge variety of restaurants and metro station. 10 min walk from Opera and Gallerie Lafayete.

I can say pictures you get from this hotel are from a rendering, since real thing is awful. This was the worst experience ever. Staff is rude, cleanness is an unknown word, expensive even if cheap, locations is in the middle of gangs, if you are getting late or leaving early you can see some dealers activity.

I stayed here for three nights. The room was fine, clean, good bathroom apart from the shower door being broken. The corridors looked dirty on the 5th floor and the stairwell looked shabby. The breakfast was plentiful although pricy; if you want choice there are cafés a-plenty nearby. The hotel is very near Grandes Boulevards Metro station, very handy. Chartier... More

I travelled to Paris for New Years Eve with my wife for our 1st Wedding Anniversary as part of a deal, the hotel it self was ok and what you would expect of a 3 Star continental Hotel, the entrance is very stylish and modern and I thought happy days this is nice, a Lady whom I assumed wasthe manager... I stayed in this hotel with my family (two rooms) for a week. Never again! The service was terrible. All the senior staff (manager, owner, senior clerk) are not there during weekend and don't really care. Knowing that, the clerks in the lobby allow themselves to be rude, deceptive, and in general contemptuous. In this week I had two main... More

Centrally located small hotel. Staff was ok, not over-enthusiastic, but kind and friendly. Rooms, though small (but then this is Paris!) were clean. Only problem - previous guests had smoked in the room and the room smelt a bit, even with airing and opening windows the smell did not disappear entirely, but then I suppose it is guests' and not... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
