Very friendly staff, always helpful, good location 2 min to Cadet metro station, 10 min to Opera and La Fayetté gallery, 15 min to Montmartre. Room was a good size for the price, very clean and comfortable, good breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff, always helpful, excellent location to gare du nord. Take metro 7 to Cadet and its literally 500m down the road. Don't get ripped off by Taxis. Bought a rail pass for our time there and it saved us a fortune. Room was a good size for the price, very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The employees were nice, the rooms were clean, the beds were good (!), there was enough room at breakfast. It was a short walk to the Metro. In ten minutes we were in the centre of Paris. There were many restaurants in the district, and a very nice nightlife.

The hotel was basically OK but there was noise at night, both inside and outside the hotel, which disrupted sleep. We were there for the Paris marathon and needed to get breakfast at 7 on the day. The Golden Hotel offers good rooms and a helpful staff. The location is also very good, as it is fairly centrally located regarding transportation. The only drawback was the room size and lack of lobby (the difference between American and French hotels, perhaps?). Worth a stay should you be in the area, though.

I found Patrick, the receptionist, to be helpful and welcoming from my arrival at the hotel through till I left. The reception area looks a little odd, but no big deal.
