Stayed 2 nights in October. Picked the hotel when hotels were busy and already expensive hotels were dearer than average. This one was value for money. Arriving by train we too k a taxi to the hotel. He expected me to know exactly where on the road the number I gave him was. We were greeted warmly with refreshment and... More

We stayed here in December and at that time, most of the top floors were under renovation. Beautiful lobby and rooms. We asked for a double but when we got to the room , found out that they had two single beds put together which pulled apart during the evening ! They fixed it next day and we were fine.... More

The first room we got was so small there was barely room to turn around. We asked to be moved and the room we got was slightly bigger but still small with a window to the back yard. On the web page the rooms look bright and fairly sized, so the reality was disappointing by comparison. Nice staff and the... More

1) good location - the hotel is v close to the nearby st Georges metro station. 10 mins walk only. you can go most of the sightseeing spots within 30 mins. 2) breakfast buffet is good enough to boost ur energy for the day. I enjoyed their free open bar ( from 1 to 10pm) v much , especially after... More

Overall my experience in this hotel is positive. Good things include: location, friendly and English-speaking staffs, great breakfast, new remodeled bathrooms, free Internet, cleanliness and quietness. Things that could discourage you include: Parking (the only way to park is at the parking garage around 200 meter from the hotel and cost around 35 Euro per 24 hours), small elevator, Métro... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend to see in the New Year and do a bit of sightseeing in Paris. A really nice hotel with friendly staff. We arrived a little early but the receptionist allowed us to leave our bags in the safe lock up and gave us a map and a quick briefing on the hotel and it's surroundings.... More

Very nice hotel with great hospitality, rooms are clean and tidy, food is really good, free drinks, and 10 mins away from Opera street and 5 mins away from the first metro station, room price is really cheap regarding to all of the above, I really enjoyed my stay and I'm sure that I will repeat it !

Everything was very good. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. There was free drink and cookies serviced everyday from 14:00-22:00. Except one thing: I was arranged to live on the 5th floor, which is seems to be the loft and with window on the roof.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monterosa. The hotel is as charming as they come and the reception staff couldn't be more helpful. It is close to the St George and Pigalle metro stations and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bakeries for an authentic Parisian experience. The rooms are simple and clean with pretty splashes of color.... More

What a warm staff! You feel welcome the minute you arrive. From the Front Desk, to the Housekeeping to the Breakfast staff, everyone is lovely. Breakfast almost always included, as well as an open bar downstairs in the lobby. Internet is also included. All and all, a good value for money. I had some minor complaints, but all was resolved... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
