Great value and good location. Staying for four nights in Paris at a 3-star place so well-located for right at $500US is really hard to beat, especially when that cost includes a good breakfast and free afternoon/evening snacks and drinks when you want to recharge. The staff was very helpful and friendly, too, and arranged a reasonably priced shuttle to... More

I was very pleased with my experience at the Monterosa's hotel, Great location to navigate in the city center. A good value, excellent service and friendly environment. I highly recommend it and consider to book it again in my next trip to Paris.

Very good hotel. Staff excellent - from reception to the superbly helpful lady helping out with breakfast. Location excellent - boutique hotel - but not in any way pretentious. Would visit again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or this group of hotels.

Definately what you'd expect for your money! Good location, clean (but not that spacious) rooms, very helpful staff, nice breakfast, snack and coffey available free of charge during the day. Can't actually remember something on a bad side, well, lets say the minor con would be relatively poor sound isolation, but that was ok for us. Surely, would recommed that... More

Hotel Monterosa is just the place to stay for a city break! Its out of the way of the major tourist attractions, and is wonderfully inexpensive for a quirky boutique place to stay. It is a short walk from the Metro station, the nearest being Saint-Georges. But, if your avid walker all the attractions are accessible by foot. The Galeries... More

We stayed here for two nights the room was smaller than expected. However the hotel is immaculately clean and the staff were very helpful, everything we asked we were helped with. It is only a short walk from the metro as well.

We stayed at the Monterosa on 23rd December for one night having stayed there during the summer. Our second visit did not disappoint. A lovely welcome from the reception staff on duty - a lovely German lady who invited us to take a seat and have a complimentary drink before we set off for a visit to the Christmas markets.... More

Staying at the Monterosa was very nice. Great location close to metro stations. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately there seemed to be some construction going on and this interfered with the operation of the elevator. But otherwise I would stay here again.

An absolutely delightful hotel that we cannot recommend enough. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, awesome breakfast! The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome - multiple wifi codes for our innumerable devices, storing our luggage once we checked out, complimentary chocolates on Valentines Day... Would definitely go back.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, cosy room, perfect location! Breakfast was included and very generous. During daytime there was always free coffee, tea and snacks on hand. The room was a little cold and the heater quiet loud..but wasn't too bad :) would go there any time again.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
