Cheap booking through trivago, yes needs decorating but for the money for short stay very good. Staff friendly, helpful and spoke English. Great food locally too and metro just across the road. Would use this hotel again.

Tiny room, cheap, free and fast wifi, close to the metro. Really small bathroom that doesn't have a proper door and it smelled bad so we had to keep the window open. The staff didn't spoke english very well and we had a certain difficulty to get a taxi to go to the airport in the early hours of the... More

I don't recommend this place for the first-time visitors to Paris. Advantages: close to the metro clean (in the room and in the shared showers and toilets) Disadvantages: very small room: we paid for the two-beds room with toilet, were given the room of less than 10 m2 with shower (clean but really small) and asked not to use that... At "les Chansonniers" you get excellent value for money (50 euros for the cheapest room) and a very nice welcome. Of course, the carpet and wall-paper could do with freshening but the room is functional and clean, the shared toilets and showers immaculate, and to me it is the most important. The basic room is small for two people but... More

we booked on hostelbookers.com - and the images on hostelbookers did not look anything like the room we were given. It was much smaller than expected. I accidentally booked the wrong month and emailed them about it. They did not respond to multiple emails, luckily my phone plan allows cheap overseas calls and they sorted the issue without further charges.... More

We arrived at this hotel and were checked into our room. The 'receptionist' gave us our room card and told us the room number. The card and number didn't tally. We went into the room for the card we had and it didn't register with us that we had pre-booked a room with a shower...This room didn't have a shower.... More

I stayed with a friend here for three nights- the room was clean with linen and towels provided, a small fridge, TV and a very small en-suite. It was fine for us because all we needed was a clean bed. You have to pay for WiFi which is a bit annoying (3 euros in the reception or 6 euros in... More

The Hotel is in a good location, cheap, close to the metro station. Rooms are cleaned every day so it is ok with that. The owner is a tipycal French who don't care about the tourists. Just after my reservation I wrote to him an e-mail with a question: Will I get a room I booked? ( Large one )... More

Getting a cheap hotel in Paris may be hard but i would pay a bit dearer rather than stay here. There was a damp/old smell everywhere in the Hotel, the bed sheets felt horrible on your skin, Wall paper hanging off, ceiling looked ready to cave in. Can't think of any positives for this hotel, we will not be returning.

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Was suitable for sleeping after all day's stoll in the city. Did not expect too much out of it, all was ok for the price. Room was tiny, but ok for few days visit for 2 person. What counts is:bedding was clean and bathroom too.
