We were charged over and above the usual rates for this hotel as the air show was on in Paris which we did not mind, however they did not even bother to make the bed and tidy the room on the Saturday. After speaking to reception, I was told they had until 4pm to do this which was not a... More

The hotel housekeeping came twice knocking on your door to clean your room but you were in the room and the can not clean it. Indeed, they are working until 16pm and it was 20pm when you came back as it is our night auditor you spoke with I am sincerely sorry that they can not clean your room on... More

This hotel on the edge of the Marais is a nicely tucked away and is quite peaceful. The staff are lovely and most of them speak very good English. I wish however I had stayed closer to St Paul's metro, where there are an abundance of restaurants.

Dear guest, Our hotel is at the begenning of the Marais area. The closest metro are Arts & Métiers (lign 3 and 11), and Réaumur Sébastopol (lign 4) There are a lot of restaurant in this part of the Marais too. Catherine More

Stayed here for one night in late May of 2015 for 151euro. The location was great and central to everything. No frills, but no complaints either. Had nice clean bathroom, all standard stuff. A tiny little elevator that can fit probably 2-3 at best. Staff are nice to the extent you are nice and courteous to them. We did not... More

Location i couldn't fault, we stayed for 3 nights metro stations all around so really easy to navigate. Though i found the room to be small, it had what was basically needed and for the limited size of buildings in Paris i was happy. Modern decoration throughout. The staff were good, especially the night Weekend workout he was fantastic. We... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights at Christmas and was very pleased with its location in the Marais, close to several metro stations, and with the central parts of Paris within walking distance. There were also a great deal of excellent restaurants and a bakery just across the street. The staff was very helpful and attentive to my... More

The room was small and dark and felt stuffy. The bath room was nice and modern though. The location is good because it was right next to the metro. The worst was the generally rude staff and poor service. The older male concierge who worked at night was rude and not helpful at all. He slept on the couch all... More

This is a very conviently located hotel in the centre of Paris within walking distance of the main attractions and right next to a metro station. The rooms are small, with small TV sets (but why do you want to watch television while staying in Paris ?......), but clean with modern bath rooms. There are some stairs to walk as... More

This is a tale to dispel all preconceived notions of the French and their "attitude" toward Americans. We had rented an apartment in the building next door to this hotel. Before we left the States, I had purchased a voucher for a tour and upon checking my Ipad the night before the tour, found out that the tour operator would require... Hotel Ecole Centrale is a small hotel on a quiet street. It is one minute from the Arts et Metier Metro Stop on Line 11. Prices are reasonable. Rooms are very small, but clean. Hotel has air conditioning, but French hotels large and small provide limited A/C. Unfortunately, we were there when weather was not hot, but warm. Practically never... More

The hotel is 3* on the basis of its facilities; our superior double room, about 10m2, was well equipped; bed was comfortable; bathroom well laidout and modern fittings; TV; tea/coffee making facilities; stocked fridge; air con. Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
