My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. On the first morning I was suffering badly from morning sickness (being four months pregnant). The breakfast area was very warm and airless. I was unable to eat breakfast and decided to take a croissant and a pear to eat later. The lady from the breakfast area immediately reported... more
We booked online via a third party website which dealt with three-star hotels in the Marais in Paris which purport to have both charm and character. The photos looked nice and everything seemed exactly what we were looking for, and we were prepared to spend a little more than usual to really enjoy our 6 day sojourn in Paris, so... more
A quaint little hotel in the middle of Paris. Lovely staff, good service. Predictably small room. My daughter and I had 4 days in Paris on our way home to New Zealand after 2 1/2 weeks in Barcelona. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon so decided to check out the shopping. We were totally blown away with the ammount of people... more
We were a bit nervous about moving to this hotel after having had such a great experience at our previous 2 star hotel in the Latin Quarter. Our fears were unfounded though as this hotel turned out to be quite comfortable and, even though it didn't do much to earn its extra star (and slightly higher tarif), had some good... more
We stayed at this hotel for five nights this November. We chose it from a number of choices in a travel package. Our package came with breakfast. The hotel was o-k. Not great, not spectacular, but not bad either. The rooms are small, but I expect that in hotels in London, Paris, NYC, or San Francisco. Our 4th floor room... more
Went to Paris for a week in September 06 with my boyfriend. When we saw our room in Ecole Central I thought I was gonna faint. The room looked more like a prison cell (3x3 meters), tiny window by the ceiling, aweful bed, VERY dark. There was no mini bar, just an old fridge under the desk. The freezer was... more
We travelled from London to Paris and spent 2 nights at the Ecole Centrale. While the hotel is in a good location, we experienced some problems with this place. Despite boasting a full English-speaking front desk staff, we found that the gentleman on the desk most times we were downstairs spoke no English and made no effort to assist us.... more
A great little hotel in Paris, great for the Marais area and in easy walking distance of great restaurants and touristic sites. THe breakfast is extremely poor - babybel is not my idea of breakfast. Furthermore, it's a 'no iron in the room' policy which unfortunately brings you down to the lobby for your ironing. However, the friendly staff compensate... more
Just returned from a long weekend at the Hotel Ecole Centrale. The hotel is conveniently located in the magnificent and exciting Le Marais area. The rooms are small but functions well for a short period of stay. Aircon, fridge and clean bathrooms ensured our happiness after long days in the magnificent city. Breakfast was kind of expensive (€10) but there... more
