I stayed at both the BVJ hostels last month with a friend. I wanted to thank you for your hospitality. The hostel was enjoyable and should I have friends traveling to Paris in the future, will definitely recommend this hostel based on both my customer service experience and its location(s)! Noisy too noisy at night time, cos there are no strict rule ut full of teenagers. Only one person in charge of whole building and the one... more

Despite booking way in advance they said they cannot guarantee the type of room (double or dorm room). We stayed 5 nights and they moved us 3 times. The first night they put my husband and I in separate dorm rooms. Then they moved us to a double room for 3 nights. Then on the last night they moved us... more

We paid 60 Euro for a double room which turned out to be a room with a wash basin and a bunk bed. Very spartan. Had to make our own beds (with blood-stained sheets and only one, thin blanket). The shower was so dirty, we didn't even bother using it. Toilet was the same...looked like it hadn't been cleaned in... more

I confirmed my 3-night reservation with the hostel within 72 hours of my arrival, as required. Upon arriving, I was told that since the hostel was so booked, i would have to move to a different room every night. The hostel would only accept one night's payment, however. I found this odd and questioned the attendant, but was assured that... more

the location of this hostel is great as you can walk to many of the sights Paris has to offer and it is situated in a slightly more upscale area i guess. it is rather expensive (just under 30 euros a night) but this is normal for Paris. the rooms were mediocre and there are many flights of stairs you... more

The perfect place for youngsters. I was alone (girl) and felt completely safe here. Its a better idea to book through their website ( 3 days in advance), but this does not require payment. This one has some 300 beds; girls dormitory,(6-8 people), singles, doulbles. Check-in is after 2.30pm. The internet is NOT free. There is no lift here so... more
