Very nice hotel. Really felt like we were in Paris. Room small, but that was okay-beautifully decorated. Very clean. Front desk very helpful. Loved the location. Easy walking and easy subway access. The St- Germain -des- Pres area was our favorite. Room had air conditioning.

My daughter and I just returned from a week in Paris and were so pleased with this hotel. It was beautiful and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to the Louvre, D'Orsay, Notre Dame and many other places. We found great cafes and shops nearby, too. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Patricia and Irene.... The location was perfect, the staff was helpful, the restaurants they recommended were great. You are only a few blocks from the Louve so very centrally located. The rooms were air conditioned and during the heat wave that was great! I would recommend this to anyone!

Perfect location in Saint Germain, 1 min walking to the famoгs Cafe de Flore and 10 min walking to the Jardin de Luxembourg. My tiny room had everything necessary, was romantically decorated, cozy and extremely clean. The staff was hospitable, polite and had a great English. Definitely will come again.

the hotel is situated well, a short walk from the main attractions and great restaurants and cafes. On Saturday morning there are street farmers markets close by, beautiful food and atmosphere. the room was smallish as expected, but great view and very clean with a large bathroom. staff is marvellous and helpful with French! enjoyed our stay and will come... Nice well located newly renovated Hotel in perfect location. Friendly staff clean rooms and the air-conditioning worked really well which we appreciated after all day on the streets of Paris. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel on the last leg of our vacation. Upon arrival there was a problem with the provider that we booked through. Academie couldn't contact us and the provider would not give them any information so our reservation had been cancelled. The lady at the front desk explained everything that had happened but happily they were still... More

The hotel was in an amazing location, just a short walk from the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. It was also convenient to the metro, making the other parts of Paris easily accessible. St. Germaine is a notoriously expensive area, but the hotel was a nice value in the area. The rooms are small--it's Paris, but they each had their own... More

Stumbled on this hotel using web research and was really delighted. The price was right and the staff are marvelous. The room with full bath was, of course, European small, but very adequate nonetheless. I will be telling my friends about my great find. The front desk spoke English to me from the start which I needed. They even found... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
