Hotel is located on the great location just 10 minutes walking distance to Louvre museum and Notre Dam. It is very safe area. Staff was very welcoming. Payment is imediately upon arrival. Room was great decorated and room is very, very clean. Congratulation to cleaning woman. In normal condition value for money would be excellent!!! But it was disapointed only... More

I stayed in this hotel with a colleguea. It is very close to metro station. The sign is very small, be very careful not to miss the hotel. The hotel is under renovation at the moment. We stayed in a renovated room. The decor is nice but the room is so small that you hardly move in it. Luckily we... More

Stayed at this place for 6 nights and find it absolutely recommendable. Why? 1. Very easy to reach by tube. Only 5 minutes walking distance from station "Saint-Germain-des-Prés" 2. Very attractive area 3. Super friendly staff! 4. Brand new bathroom, bed and decoration (very romantic in style, but maybe that's what you expect when going to Paris anyhow...) 5. Free... More

We arrived after travelling for 12 hours to learn that, despite having confirmed (and paid for) the day prior, our room had been given to another guest. We waited for over an hour while they made other arrangements at what turned out to be a horrible, run down hostel-like motel 10 minutes away. We had a horrible first night due... More

This is the best location for the Lourve, Orsay, Notre Dame, etc. It is only a couple blocks from the Seine and less than 15 minute walk to the Lourve. We went every day during our 5 nite stay at this hotel. The rooms are larger than I expected and the bathroom is large with. We had two rooms as... More

As far as my experience goes most hotel rooms in Paris are verging on the small side (except suites of course), so no surprises there. But rooms have all been refurbished recently, so they're fresh and tidy, ours was on the 3rd floor and up there the wifi wasn't really performing greatly, minor issue though. Heating control was working fine,... More

This is great hotel - in a special location with Boulevard St Germaine just around the corner. So many great restaurants and bars to choose from including places such as Les Deux Magots brimmed full of history. Hotel rooms newly refurbished but they are small - hotel still shrouded in scaffolding and builders fabric so hotel room a bit gloomy... More

We have enjoyed this hotel for over 5 years now, and they just renovated it. The upgrade to the electric gave easy access to plugs for charging devices, and great lighting. The bathrooms have a lot of counter space, now, too. The staff, Patricia and her Team are amazing--kind, gracious, makes us feel like friends, not just visitors. The location... More

Newly refurbished room: and beautifully so. BEDROOM Small, but standard for Paris. Very well designed space, so enough room for luggage and everything needed. Including a small safe and mini bar and limited hanging space. Bed very comfortable, air con didn't seem to react to anything I changed on it so not sure if centrally controlled. Temperature fine during my... More

I stayed in this for 3 nights during the IPAG conference. The location is ideal, staff is very courteous and helpful. Rooms are smaller but it is good compromise for location. The hotel is under renovation and there was a smell of paint. I hope it will will fad away once the renovation work is done.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
