We chose Academie Hotel based on reviews and the description/photos of the room. We paid extra for an Executive room with spa bath - but I was really disappoint at how small it was (I couldn't walk past the bed with my bag even without it getting stuck and had to lift it across that's how small it was). Also... More

I spent in this hotel 4 nights and I'm sure I will come back to it next time when I will be in Paris! Very cozy atmosphere, excellent, easy to find location in the city centre, extremely friendly staff at the reception!!! All furniture in the hotel and in my room in particular was of a good quality and I... More

I arrived at the Hotel on 1/07/16 for a 2-night stay before leaving for Zurich on Saturday. I booked this hotel mainly because of the great reviews I've read on Tripadvisor. They weren't wrong! Traveling solo, I wanted to be in an area which gave me easy access to the Louvre, coupled with close proximity to the Gare de Lyon.... More

This is a great place to stay at a good price. Walk to the Seine, the Louvre, and Notre Dame. Close to famed cafes. The staff is so kind and helpful. Perfect place to stay if you are traveling solo. I can't say enough about how they made feel comfortable.

The hotel is comfortable and well priced. The location is amazing central to everything such as great cafes and restaurants, boutiques, metro station and walking distance to all... More

Academie is a small boutique hotel in a nice neighbourhood in Saint-Germain, making part of a professionally run chain of hotels in Paris. The staff is extremely welcoming and nice. At least the evening receptionist offered to speak English which I turned down to practice my French. The interior is very nice, no tasteless decor but really just a good... More

Great small hotel in very good location for tourists. Wonderful breakfast. We got a free room upgrade which was unexpected and made our visit even better. Would stay there again when visiting Paris. Only minus was the hallways and rooms are a little dark, could use more lighting.

Superb location and super friendly staff. Great value for money. The property is neatly renovated and very elegant. The room is not huge, but has a great comfy bed, a top-notch bathroom and even a small balcony! The best experience was the cozy bathtub after a long day. My new favorite hotel in Paris!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
