I stayed at La Sanguine for 6 nights on business at the beginning of November and had the same warm hospitality as I always get at this hotel. The first 4 nights I was on business and my husband joined me at the weekend. The staff at the hotel could not be friendlier and gave me one of the newly... More

We booked this hotel via e-mail after reading a recommendation in a magazine. It was not our first choice but many other hotels were fully booked for this period, months ahead, so it was a nice surprise to find a very friendly person responding quickly, efficiently paying attention to our special requests. When we got to the hotel we found... More

From the first phonecall from Australia to enquire about the accomadation , Josephine the English speaking receptionist was the person every hotel should have for none french speaking tourists. Friendly where every guest I witnessed was treated like a long time friend . Josephine faxed all relevant info for booking plus 3 alternative transport directions to and from the airport... More

My American girlfriend and I stayed at this charming small hotel on a lightening visit to Paris. I chose the hotel because of the reviews I read on Trip Advisor and I was delighted to find it was just what I expected. Fabulous location and extremely comfortable atmosphere. The staff were lovely, the room was small and clean. Just what... More

I can easily understand why this small two star hotel had once made it to the top ten among members. It is less than a hundred yards from the Place De Madelaine, and for those readers who know Paris, that it an excellent location. The rooms are not that large, the towels could be thicker, and there is no elavator... More

We stayed three nights three nights at the La Sanguine at the start of our honeymoon. We had had the hotel recommended to us and weren't disappointed. Our room was small, but was comfortable and spotless. The service and staff were fantastic - we felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were delightful with home baked pastries.... More

Stayed at this hotel from a Friday to a Thurs. at the beginning of June and although check in wasn't until the afternoon they were more than happy to accomodate myself and my wife for an early morning check in (10AM) by getting our room ready ahead of time which only took about 10minutes. The entire staff morning and night... More

Location good, AC cold, beds comfy, street quiet @ night, owners friendly and breakfast yummy. . Hot chocolate, chocolate croissants, fresh bread, and good coffee! Not too expensive for us and our two teenagers in two rooms, esp. for the area. Refrig in room was nice, esp. once we found a little store around the corner to get water for... More

The hotel is very basic and the room is small. If you have lots of luggages, you will have to carry them up the flight of stairs as there is no elevator. Other than that the location is very central, and convenient - the Louvre and Museum Orsay are all within walking distance as are the departmental stores and food... More

We stayed two nights at the Sanguine. We were looking for small hotel experience, family-run, clean, quaint, very "Paris". After reading the reviews, we found the Sanguine. We found alll those things, but our room was just way too small, probably about 3x3 meters, including the bathroom. I assume that this room was once without bath, which would have been... More
