I have heard the term "customer care" before. However, this is the first time I have experienced great customer service from people who really care. All of the staff members showed real care towards us from the minute we walked in. This is a family run hotel, not a commercial chain and it shows. Overall, this is a great hotel.... More

My wife, 10 month son and I stayed here for four nights and we were very happy. From the minute we walked through the front doors we were welcomed with open arms. They were more than helpful when we required anything for our son. The hotel is in a great location, 5 min walk from Madeleine with plenty of great... More

When I first checked in to the Hotel Sanguine I wasn't sure about my choice. It was late and I was tired after having initially boarded the wrong train for the trip to Paris. I climbed the stairs to the first floor reception and then climbed two more floors to my room as there is no lift. The room was... More

Family run hotel tucked away just off Place Madeleine. Cosy clean and comfortable. Warm and helpful welcome from owners and staff. Generous continental breakfast including confitures made from fruit from Monsieur's own garden. Ideal location in chic area of Paris. Handy for metro, bus and Roissy bus from airport. A real little affordable gem!!

My mom and I stayed here for five nights while in Paris for a wedding. Everything about our experience was great. The facility was quaint, clean and conveniently located. The staff and owners were incredibly helpful, kind and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Breakfast every morning was delicious and ready whenever you got down there (I came down... More

We recently spent five nights at this fantastic family hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too trouble, help with the luggage, help with transport and help with restaurants. The only issue was the necessity to purchase a bigger belt after Jean-Claude's beautiful French breakfasts, not to mention his surprise plate of macarons on... More

I stayed at this little hotel for four nights and I can recommend it to anyone. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and quiet. Last but not least, the central location means that everything is within easy walking distance. A carefree visit, would stay there again.

When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled we notified La Sanguine that we would not be able to make our reservation, they graciously allowed us to move our reservation to the night we arrived in Paris without penalty. Upon checking in, we experienced first hand why this hotel has great reviews with Trip Advisor. The hotel is first class in the... More

My sister and I stayed in hotel Sanguine from September 9-14,2014., in room 304 with excellent internet connection. I must said that this hotel has the most favorable location. Walking distance to Printemps and Louvre. Taxi from Gare Du Nord Eurotrain station to this hotel takes only 20mins. The legendary bus42, going to most tourist attractions, like Eiffel Tower is... In the Rue la Surene, just off the Place de la Madeleine, this small family-owned hotel is perfect for a few days in central Paris. The atmosphere is welcoming, courteous, old-fashioned and utterly charming. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Service could not be more friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable for a city centre hotel. The... More

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th-century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
