Location, location. We had a corner room on the 6th floor looking through our small windows directly at the cathedral. Our girls had a 4th floor room with the view of an alleyway, and compensated by a 42 inch screen showing the view of the cathedral (which they turned off as being annoying). So location is excellent. The other big... More

We spent 5 days in Paris last week and chose this hotel for its location & proximity to the Notre Dame Cathedral and this historic area of Paris. The hotel was very quaint & comfortable & the staff were extremely helpful with directions tips and suggestions.

Stayed 3 days in room #42, a corner room with the perhaps the best view of Notre Dame Basilica and Seine River in Paris, but VERY noisy (noisiest hotel I think I have stayed in in the past 35 years). Major vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 8am to 2 am (6 hours of quiet). Incessant police sirens and zooming motorcycles.... More

nice hotel with small comfortable rooms, bathrooms are small especially for tall people. hotel is not perfect for eldery or disabled people, small stairs, dark and stairs. Very friendly staff, typically French breakfast for a reasonable price Location is very, very busy, but also very central and of course the view on the Notre Dame, unbeatable.

Finding where to stay in Paris is never easy but Hotel Notre Dame was perfect, surrounded by the metro we easily connected to where we needed to go, hop on big bus outside the door, an enchanting view of Notre Dame and too your left Saint Chapelle, fantastic eateries. Accommodation was lovely quirky rooms, great atmosphere, amazing views and helpful... More

Room very small, if on the street, hence with a view of Notre Dame, be prepared for noise For me area was too crowded and mostly touristy shops with t-shirts, postcards, etc. Nice staff Do have to carry luggage up one flight before receptionist

The hotel has a superb location! Close to metro stations, main tourist attractions and great places to eat. The rooms are very clean and well decorated and everyone is very friendly. The only problem is we stayed in room 11, which is INSIDE the restaurant/bar and right next to the kitchen, so there was a lot of noise (people shouting,... More

This boutique hotel has 5 floors with approximately 5 rooms each. The rooms are nice and the fixtures/bath are modern. Wifi is available. Hairdryers, bathrobes and slippers come with the room! The small staff is personable and available. They all speak English very well but are happy to help you with your French. The service is excellent. Breakfast is available... More

Pros: We really enjoyed the convenient location of this hotel, close to many restaurants, the Metro/RER, and Notre Dame. We walked all over the city from the hotel. The room was spacious (especially for a European hotel) and comfortable. The bathroom was very small and had very little counter space. It did not have a shower, but a comfortable, deep... More

This hotel is in an excellent location! Our room looked onto Notre Dame. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport via the train. The hotel is unique, a little quirky. Our room was small, and the hotel is not cheap, but nothing is in Paris. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay,... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
