Very small room with no closet to your things. As entertainment you can listen to your companion spending time in WC so do not invite your new spouse to spend some this hotel. :-) Poor quality breakfast with small food choice. You can get hairdryer form reception leaving your ID. Air-conditioning with no adjustment. Had to use adhesive tape to... More

Modern and clean hotel. For a budget standard very good. Breakfast in a clean space and good standards. Situated near Jaures metro with easy access to the centre of Paris (in 30 min you are at Louvre) Neighbourhood is normal, quit. The basin behind the hotel Basin de la Villette is also in the weekend a nice place to see... More

The hotel was really nice, super clean, the breakfast is cheap and with a lot of options. The neighborhood is really nice specially at night, but is far from the main attractions. You have 2 metro station really close, so it´s easy to move around.

I've stayed at the Paris La Villette hotel in the past, when it was ETAP, and I think I like the format of ETAP a little better. But the new Ibis Budget room is a bit spartan, but quite comfortable, climate controlled, The new showers are excellent, And the large main window in the room opens, so the room can... More

I have been to budget hotels before, so I'm not writing this because I expected luxury. I only expected what was stated on their website. Our main problem was the Ibis website claims that this particular hotel in La Villette has "Air conditioning" - it clearly says, "A/C" as part of the hotel's features. It does not. It is central... Came in evening July 2015, and it was very hot in Paris. The hotel itself was pretty clean, but the rooms so small. The hotel claims air-conditioning but when we asked the deskman said, "open the window". We showed him the reservation showed air-conditioning he said, "yeah I speak English! There is no air-conditioning". Every time there after that we... More

Spent one night in this Ibis. Get off at Laumiere and exit via Jean Jaure. Ibis is obvious and near several fast food places. (pizza/kebab) and right next door to a Franprix. Super useful for location. Also near a park. The room has a shower, toilet (you can hear everything mind) and a double bed. It is basic but it... More

We were not expecting much when we went to this hotel and we didnt get much. There was always someone at the reception but the worst part is there used to be a lot of people always at the reception (outsiders) probably for wi-fi or cheap coffee no idea. There was a seperate shower panel, a seperate WC and the... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
