Our last Ibis Budget (EVER), but so far the best. Room to put down the luggage and a bit to spare (Sheer luxury) Bed ok, tiny thin towels and absent bath mat. You live and learn, the next time we travel, will look elsewhere.

An excellent place to stay if you don't mind the basics in a room. We toured all day so 5 stars wasn't necessary. Hotel has a microwave which for us with teenagers was handy. For €6 we could have had breakfast but chose to buy from the many patisseries in the area. Suggest turn right and walk up to Jaures... More

This particular hotel is well located, and pretty cheap for Paris. It's easy to get to the metro, and rooms cost far less than most accommodation in Paris. Now, I was travelling with 2 friends, so we wanted a triple - as with some places, this resulted in a double with a single bunk on top - fine, but not... More

A cheap hotel which is possibly better than sleeping on the street - but maybe not. Rooms are dirty with an air of inner-city prison. The lift which carried us to our first-floor cell didn't work, which matched nicely our broken lights and blinds, and dirty depressing bathroom. Staff were overworked and indifferent to the guests they were noisily processing... More

My girlfriend and I went to Paris for a few days in June 2015, we select this hotel because is very close to metro stations. Just a few minutes and is possible to get Jaurès station with 3 metro lines, so is very easy to get all city's parts. The neighbourhood is very multiethnic vith a lot of people ,bars,... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
