The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, where you can imagine ordinary Parisians live and work. But it is very close to the Metro station, and walking distance to the Cimetière du Père Lachaise, where you can see the graves of Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Rossini, Proust. The Maison Landemaine avec David Devant next to it became our favorite patisserie,... More

Great budget-friendly hotel. Stayed in late September for three days. Bed was good (not great), room was a good size. Stayed in the 4th floor, room 402. We had a balcony, small, but good. Nice view of the busy traffic below. Had breakfast there once, on the morning I left to the airport and it was really, really good. Area... More

Nice budget hotel. Yes, ask for a room in the rear for more quiet. GREAT neighborhood. Close to the Metro. Great restaurants and patisseries. Reasonable parking wasn't too far away. We hopped on the Metro and saw everything we needed to see in Paris! We had a street room. It was noisy if the window was opened. We closed the... More

My fiancée and I stayed here at the end of August for 3 nights, as part of a Eurostar hotel & travel deal. The hotel itself is located really close to a metro station (Charonne), as well as plenty of local supermarkets and patisseries. The area itself is wonderful, one of the few authentic parts of Paris left (not an... More

I was a bit wary having read some of the reviews but have to say everything was great. We stayed for 4 nights and had a twin room at the back of the hotel which was lovely and clean, as was the shower room. Beds were made and room tidied every day. The lift was fine. Breakfast was well worth... More

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Classics Hotel Bastille! It's true that the rooms are smaller than what we're used to in the U.S. and the shower offered an opportunity to be creative so as not to get water on the floor - but it was perfectly clean and lovely! We had garden view rooms so I cannot... More

The room was small, but not as small as the hotel we stayed at in London. It was very clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The price was good and the area was located near restaurants, shops and the Metro station. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

My daughter and I stayed here for a week, I booked it as part of a Eurostar package. We had a room at the rear of the hotel and it was so quiet you could not believe you were in a busy city. With a Metro station (Charonne, line 9) about 100 metres away, not to mention a lovely patisserie/boulangerie... More
