Hotel rooms are spacious and lovely for paris. The Decor is lovely both in rooms and the bar area downstairs. Comfy beds. Excellent location. service is like fawlty towers. If you can get past that then definetly stay.

This recently renovated boutique hotel was clean and had an excellent location to the metro. It is in one of the busier neighborhoods in Paris (which makes for a fabulous home base when exploring the city) but is still tucked away on a side street away from the noise and bustle. Avoid the major shopping mall down the street as... More

Let's start from the cons: basic rooms are very small. It means you cannot work in there. I went there twice, once for business and once with my GF. In both cases I was very satisfied as I do not spend much time inside the room. The hotel has most of the rooms towards an internal courtyard, so the silence... More

Paris has been on my bucket list for over 50 years. The Helios-Opera Hotel enhanced the experience far beyond my expectations. From our wonderful greeting to our early morning au revoir we could not have asked for more. The friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room, willingness to help in any possible way all contributed to a wonderful vacation.... More

We were here in July 2012 and had a fantastic time in Paris. The rooms are much smaller in Europe than we were used to in North America, but nevertheless, it was all we needed. There is a great market down the street where we would get some fresh food to take on our travels for the day. Close to... More

The staff in this hotel is outstanding. They are efficient, friendly, speak English perfectly and seem to have the answer to every situation. The room is very good for a 3 star though small by American standards. The room is comfortable, clean, great bed, excellent bathroom and the housekeeping staff is efficient and unobtrusive! Our room was on the 1st... More

My first room on the 6th floor had a real noise problem. There was a very very strong noise. I don't know where is was coming from but would definitely prevent anybody from sleeping. The noise was constant and could be heard throughout the 6th and 5th floor. Fortunately they were very nice and gave me a different room for... More

This hotel was part of a Paris package deal. We could not have been more pleased! We stayed 6 nights. The bed was surprisingly huge and very comfortable! The bedroom was small, but bigger than what I expected it would be in Paris, so I was happy! We wanted to make the most of our six days in Paris, so... More

The Hotel Opera is a great place for a night or two in Paris. Stay longer with more baggage and the room will be too small. We stayed five nights. The hotel is clean and modern, having recently been refurbished. There is a toilet that is separate to the bathroom which is always a positive – even though this room... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
