We stayed at Hotel Helios Opera for 2 weeks at Christmas and New Years Dec 2014-Jan2015. This small BOTIQUE HOTEL ( it's smaller than the photos show, like most hotel photos )...BUT...its warm, friendly, engaging, accommodating, tourism knowledgeable staff drew us back to book our next stay this coming May 2016. ( if I'm going to vacation in Europe, I... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in the lead-up to Christmas. We both enjoyed our stay at Helios Opera. The location is fairly central and hotel staff are helpful if you need directions or other assistance. The room was modern, appropriately furnished with a double bed, TV, desk, chair and fridge. Everything was clean and neat. Our... More

Toilet needs to be slightly renovated. Lights at the 2nd floor lift needs to be fixed as it kept a blinking. Housekeeping needs to be slightly more understanding not to block the small hallway with used bedsheet and etc guest obviously can't walk through those

I like the double glazed windows that shield out the noise and the weather. Having stayed in hotels in Asia, the room and the attached toilet is very small even I am of smaller Asian body frame. Price is of the high-side for a 3 stars hotel of small rooms. As such, not recommended for extended families unless you are... More

This is small cosy, bed & breakfast style hotel very centrally located, a couple of blocks behind Galeries Lafayette. I highly recommend to these who are independent and are happy with minimum good service. The design is more towards hip and easy. The general limited space requires non-fussy well mannered patrons. And they were - from various parts of the world,... More

Very friendly people, well locate, clean. But as all hotel in Paris very expensive and super little rooms. No parking. Very well located, close to all attractions and metro statations. You can walk everywhere.

This little gem proves that not everything in Paris is expensive. I found this online and the reviews on tripadvisor were good so I booked it. I could not fault this charming hotel. Slightly off the beaten track but still within moments by foot to the Opera and Galerie Lafayette. Small rooms but I don't expect large rooms in any... More

The location is good, but that's about all I can say. The picture shown for this hotel is VERY deceiving. The elevator is not large enough to hold 3 people and one suitcase. We were in a room at the end of a dark hall, which couldn't have been more than 24" wide. The hallway. There was no staff to... More

Hidden on a quiet street few minutes from Lafayette, Hotel Helios is really a great location to stay at. First impressions were modern, chic and the play of colours and design of the lobby was excellent. The room I had was small but still comfy or rather cozy. Bed was definitely comfortable! The staff were approachable and helpful. Overall I... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
