We stayed in this hotel in the last week of December. This hotel has 3 big benefits; (a ) it is relatively affordable, (b ) the breakfast is included in the price and (c ) it is very well positioned to reach all major attractions in Paris. First talk about the rooms. As usual in Paris the rooms are quite... More

The hotel has upgraded half of their rooms. When we arrived they told us we could upgrade to a new room for 25 euro which started the experience off to a negative start. The older rooms feel like a 2 star. There was no safety box and each time they insisted for the room key. The wifi did not work... More

From looking into photos you may have an impression that this is modern and bright hotel full of character, but you can't be more wrong. It is a very tired and cramped place having seen no renovations for a long time, tiny rooms just the size of the bed, old bathrooms and a lift two slim people have to squeeze... More

I've been to Hotel de France a number of times and it just gets better! There was wife, daughter-in-law and myself on this visit and yes the rooms are small. We had a beautiful room looking out at the Hotel d'Invalides with its' Gold dome shining out in the morning sun. The entire reception staff (Lalani, Richard, Mary E, and... More

I choose it because of proximity to our offices. Rooms are small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom light and space is too small. Not good place to have my make up in the morning, poor light. For business purposes, not very practical, the desk is very tight and not electrical outlets available nearby. The reception... More

We are staying her for eight nights. We upgraded our room as they are on the small side in Europe. Very reasonable. Convenient location to the Metro, restaurants & Invalides. The front desk staff very helpful with directions, suggestions, reservations, etc. Free breakfast is good.

The room was too small. Had to sit down on the bed so the other person could squeeze through. The lighting was poor in the room. Only small area to put your clothes. The room was really for one person. Not far from metro or the Eiffel tower. That was wonderful and very helpful.

A lot of effort has gone into the décor and the result is a hotel with loads of character but at the end of the day, I can't go higher than "Average" in terms of actual facilities. It is a typical 3* Paris hotel with generally small rooms with even smaller bathrooms (that in room 108 was a very tight... More

This was our second stay in this hotel. Great location, across the road from Invalides and bus stops and not too far from the Metro. However, we walked everywhere from the hotel. Service in the hotel was great and the staff was very helpful. On arrival we were offered a choice of the rooms available. On our first visit we... More
