Unlike some past reviewers, we had a nice sized room up the winding (and narrow ) staircase. The bathroom was clean and new with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was what we would have predicted for Paris. The staff, especially those at the desk, were helpful and friendly. Our expectations for a hotel with a great location at a... More

A basic hotel and affordable hotel with the perfect location within walking disatnce to several major attractions. Located in the very cosy and buzzing neighbourhood. Had a room facibg the court yard, so quiet at night. Small room and bath room - but clean.

This is a great hotel located in one of the great areas of Paris. St Germain des Pres is truly one of most vibrant and fun spots to spend time in both for seasoned visitors and first timers. There are lots of great restaurants close by. The hotel features air conditioning and double glazing, so once you're done for the... More

I spent a weekend in Paris and was keen to walk as much as possible. This hotel is perfectly situated to meet this need. 15 minutes to Musee de Orsay, 10 minutes to Luxemburg Gardens and 5 minutes to Notre Dame. Walking out of the hotel you are in a area filled with cafes, restaurants and gelatos bars - perfect... More

Hotel eugenie is located in the middle of latin quarter but when I saw the room I understood I made a mistake . It is so small that 2 people hardly can move around the bed or go to the bathroom, not to speak about the luggage. I was so disapointed that I decide to write about it durring our... More

Got a decent deal via expedia. located in Nation- very convenient for connection via metro. very small hotel with tiny rooms, but everything was immaculately clean and seemed recently renovated. very helpful english-speaking staff and a patisserie next door with amazingly yummy treats and bread. pharmacy and supermarket nearby. would come again.

Everything was as expected. Nothing fancy, convenient location, good value for Paris left bank. Hotel is clean and convenient for walking the magnificent city. The woman at the front desk during the day is quite stoic and indifferent. A smile at welcome and each day would have been appreciated. The in-room safe was not functioning properly and we had to... This hotel is small however the location is simply perfect. Walk outside and you in the thick of the Latin quarter with eateries and sights at your doorstep. We arrived in paris from London and easily used the local train which stops a very short walk to the hotel. I was a bit hesitant about the hotel after seeing some... More

We have stayed at the Eugenie many times before but now it has had a make over. The rooms have been sound proofed, the beds are new (they are fairly hard, being memory foam) and the toilet/bathroom are very modern and clean. The continental breakfast is excellent value for money and very fresh and sets you up for the day.... More

I have been travelling to Paris for many years to watch the rugby and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. Very handy for the pub across the road and plenty of places to eat and drink. Right next to Place St Michel. We will definately be back in two years time!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
