The hotel staff were immediately welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. They spoke perfect English, which is a distinct benefit, and readily offered advice on where to go etc. = gold star service in this respect! The hotel is situated close to the Pigalle district, however the small cul-de-sac that it is situated in is... More

The hotel is great for friends or family looking for a budget hotel. I was surprised by the excellent quality of the rooms and bathroom given the price. The room service was great and we felt very safe there. The best thing about the Andre Gill must be the staff, they are very welcoming and they instantly make you feel... More

The hotel was fantastic for its price and star rating. The bedrooms were clean, beds comfy and bathroom facilities great. The staff were incredibly friendly, also happy to help and offer advice with local restaurants and travel. The only issue I had which I think everyone must be aware of, on my first night I was mugged along the main... More

I enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend the hotel. Room was clean and the hotel was conveniently located. Staff was very friendly and I was able to get by with speaking very little French. Breakfast simple but good.

I've visited Paris a few times now, and usually opt to stay in an apartment, but as this trip was rather more last minute than my usual military style planning, we decided a hotel would be the cheaper and easier option. Choosing the area to stay wasn't hard, and after reading a couple of other reviews, Hotel Andre Gill stood... More

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children. The rooms and bedding were basic but clean, location was good. Very noisy at night due to the nightclubs, but it is in central Montmarte. Very basic breakfast and we chose to eat elsewhere. Kids loved the 2 resident dogs and cats.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Andre Gill for two nights. I arrived at the hotel very early in the morning, and they allowed me to stay in the lobby and wait until my boyfriend had arrived. The staff was personable and sweet. They were very concerned about whether we were enjoying our stay, and were happy to give... More

Delicately charming and gently characterful l'hotel.....at the right price. From the smiling night porter at the elegant front desk, to the centrality of its arts district location......if you get Parisienne style - this will bring a smile.....immediately. Enjoy.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
