(For those of you who don't know what bed bugs are, google "cimex lectularius" for a whole description.) Hostel infested with bed bugs, if you don't want to infest your own home with these insects, DON'T EVER GO THERE ! I have made the mistake of going there 2 nights in a row (I had no choice and didn't want... More

It was cheap, but everything was terrible. When we checked in we had to show the receptionist our confirmation email. And we were forced to buy wifi acces for 3 €. He would not just give us acces. The toilet (there was only one) on our floor did not work. The shower was terrible. They have no private rooms. That... More

Room was decent. I was in a four bed dorm and I met two lovely people who were living there too. There are toilets outside the rooms but the sink is in the rooms so it's a little unhygienic. Nonetheless, the staff when I was there were absolutely love and helpful.

Do NOT stay here. There were a myriad of problems we discovered upon arriving at Blue Planet. Not only were the accommodations crappy (2€ to rent a towel, one outlet per room, one toilet per floor, squeaky beds, and an overall dirty atmosphere), but the lack of customer service was truly unnerving. A very particular circumstance regarding a guest approaching... More

Stayed here for the night as arrived via train and was convenient as it is only 100 metres from Gare De Lyon Station in Paris. As with the previous comments, it is true that there is no soap, the sink Is in your room, and it's quite drab.

I was on a solo trip in Paris, I knew living in Paris can be expensive but I have never thought of that bad! I pay for 17€ per night but what I received were just creepy! As mentioned by the others, only one key per room, single socket per room, no hangers in bathroom, have to go back to... More

I chose this hostel for the location, as it is a 2 minute walk from Gare de Lyon. The location is NOT worth it. This was an absolutely awful hostel: - No wifi - No elevators - Only one outlet per room, and it was 6 feet up on the wall - Only one extremely dirty shower/toilet per floor (about... More

You get what you pay for. This place is cheap but pretty bad. When my group arrived, they gave us a room different than what we booked/paid for and said that the room size that we booked didn't exist. Breakfast consists of a vending machine. The shower didn't have a curtain. No A/C and the fan's cord was cut. Avoid... More

It's one of the cheapest in Paris, and like everyone else has said below- it's pretty bad. Pros: good location, receptionist was friendly, you get 'breakfast' (2 tokens for vending machine hot drink and pastry) Cons: dirty everything, there's only one key per room so you have to knock to get in if someone else is already there, one bathroom... You really get what you pay for and at the end of the day its so cheap what do you expect. If you're going to be out all day and are only looking for somewhere to sleep its perfect for you, but if you're going to be spending quite a bit of time there I wouldn't recommend. I Went there... More
