Nice little hotel not far from the city centre. Very simple room and cold in the middle of November. Ok staff, did not eat the breakfast although it didn't look that exclusive. Near to shops and restaurants and the metro.

Positive sides: 1. Good location- 5 minutes from Grand Boulevard underground station, 15 min walk to Opera and Galleries de Lafayette, 20-25 min walk to Louvre; 2. Very polite staff- despite the hotel being in a near disrepair state, staff there tried their hardest to apologise and accommodate us and to make us feel as welcome as possible. The receptionist... We wanted a central 3 star hotel conveinant to see the popular tourist sites, The Madrid Opera location was just right , ideal for the Metro and popular bus services, very good local restraurants . Unfortunately we were disapointed with the 3 star rating of the mardrid Opera. 1or2 star would be true, badly needs a refurbisment and the breakfast... More

Our group stay in 4 different rooms and the one thing in common was that a lot of the electrical outlets did not work so if you have a lot of devices that need charging, you are going to have to rotate charging one or two devices at a time. The rooms are extremely small and the mattresses are soft... More

Well located in the heart of Paris, this is the ideal place to stay on a budget stay in Paris, the hotel itselft is rather basic and do not offer the best facilities but it is about location location location on a budget week end in Paris

If you're looking for cheap(ish) accommodation in Paris close(ish) to the subway, then this might be ok! Greeted with a rather small elevator which fit one person and 2 bags, or you can go up the slanty staircase to your room. The entire 2nd floor was flooded and you could hear the water rushing down the elevator shaft so that... More

Walking distance to many sites. Overall, the hotel was satisfactory but the zircon and the fridge needed servicing. Close to subway and handy to the bus. A reasonably safe area with many restaurants close by. The Italian place next door is quite good.

It was in a great location. Most of the equipment was broken or nearly broken. Fridge, air con etc. tiles fell off the bathroom walls, but it was near great food shops. The Italian next door was good too.

A very pleasant, very French hotel. Clean room, very helpful staff and great position near metro. 15 minute walk to Layfettes. We would return and recommend to our friends. A variety of restaurants nearby and arcades to explore.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
