Rooms were clean and had everything you need - particularly thankful for the excellent hot showers and hair dryers! Unfortunately the lift wasn't working when we were there, so had to climb up 5 stores to our room. A little far from the metro and city centre though but the staff were friendly and helpful. Value for money!

The location of this hostel was perfect for those on a budget. Close to a couple of subway stations (Anvers and Cadet I think) and was across the road from a decent sized supermarket. The lady at the desk could speak enough english to get by and was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was basic but not too bad... More

The perfect hostel is good value for money, it's clean and has new towels each day ...even if they are the size of a bath mat! I found the staff not overally friendly, and the WiFi is unrealible. The location is good, close to the metro so you can get basically anywhere in Paris. Overall, not bad

This place is a pretty nice place to stay but is a little far from the city center. Although it is very accessible to the metro, it is at least a 1.5 hour walk from the Eiffel Tower. The hotel staff were friendly, spoke good English, and always willing to help. The breakfast was good. It was initially hard to... More

This hostel is a very good choice for couples and people on budget. The location is ok, near Sacre and a metro station. The room and bathroom/shower was nice and clean. Breakfast included was basic but fullfilling! Minor problems with heat (not enough at particular hours). This hostel is 5star for people who want nothing fancy but just want to... More

I choose this hotel because it is near Gare Du Nord for a one night trip from London. Location is not the best one (even if you can walk to Montmartre in 15 minutes) but the hotel is located in a quiet street so nothing to worry about. From the outside and reception area you would expect the worse, but... More

It was a somewhat quiet hostel , really more of a hotel Common rooms were small and unused hardly seen any other people , was a clean room and nicely located being about 15min walk from the main train station and having a bus stop outside and a metro train station 5 mins away also Was close to the more... Rooms: great. 4 person dorms are so much better than bigger ones. Lockers good but not huge (you could fit a large backpack in there, probably), washstand in each room, multiprise (power strip) so there were plenty of outlets. They came in and made beds and gave us fresh towels every day. Showers: excellent, if a bit small. Toilet room:... More

We were pleasantly surprised, for what we paid, our room was adequate, as was breakfast, we enjoyed our stay. Well, at first we thought what a seedy street, place, etc. But apart from being somewhat close to the ablutions for other travelers (we had our own personal bathroom) we had a lovely peaceful quiet clean adequate room. Love being in... More

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel in Paris. This time the hotel was refurbished and had better security, I liked that. Rooms are small, we stayed in a four bed room with bunk beds and four lockers, it also had a sink in the room but shared bathroom. The walls are a bit paper thin and... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
