The hotel is extremely well located at the heart of the Quartier Latin. It's a very basic 2-star hotel, so you should have no special expectations. The bathroom had been renovated, but not the room: so, some restyling and refreshing is urgently needed.

There are two very enjoyable types of hotels in Paris: the grand hotels and the quaint ones. Hotel de Senlis is definitely of the latter sort, and this is why we enjoy it so much. Rue Malebranche itself is used as the settings of many French movies for a good reason: It is quaint. Our favourite room is number 11,... More

We booked a room for 3 people. When we arrived we were met by a very nice receptionist welcoming us to the hotel. We got a room on the ground floor which meant that we couldn't sleep with the window open, and without aircon it got a little to warm for me, but it was okay. Beds were nice, we... More

I had a good time in this small hotel a few steps away from the Pantheon. I paid 95€ for a single room. Breakfast was not included and costed 7€ but I do not think it was worth. There is no fridge in the room and this was a pity in my opinion. The wifi was free and worked fine.

This Hotel is not the Ritz! However if you require a room close to all the action then look no further. Admittedly there is no air-con but hell your going outside to see the views and if you pay less for your room you can spend more in a Restaurant.

To set the scene, if only a few hundred meters away, in the Jardin du Luxembourg, the palm trees grow, you know Paris hotels should be quite used to and prepared for hot weather. So, you would then also expect every hotel to provide its guests with airconditioning or adequate room fans. Because high temperatures were expected, we sent an... More

I stayed for a number of days in June and had an excellent experience. My room was tucked away inside next to a small semi private patio. It was super quiet and the room was very comfortable. I believe the room was recently remodeled (note - tv in the room does not get many stations, if that matters to you).... More

This hotel was a good surprise for my week end in Paris. It is located in a narrow street just 2 blocks away from Pantheon and Jardins du Luxembourg. The building is a nice old one, that is not the typical modern kind of hotel that all look the same. This is a typical hotel in Paris, but not the... More

The staff is the unhappiest people that I have encountered in Paris. It is amazing they are in the hospitality business. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and it is either we or the luggage that goes to the floor where the room was since it was a dumbwaiter lift. Room for triple pax was big, with the single bed... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
