Stayed here with my fiance in June 2015, absolutely loved it. The hotel is a chic hideaway off Place St Sulpice. Rooms quite small but that's Paris. We stayed in a Deluxe room with a view of the Place, on the second floor, and it was perfect. Bathroom was tight for 2 people at once but the shower was very... More

I highly recommend the Hotel Recamier. Although the rooms are on the small size, the location is excellent! The breakfast each morning was very good. Two blocks away from the Saint Sulpice Metro station, you can go anywhere in Paris in a relatively short amount of time. Within walking distance is Notre Dame, the Lourve and Tuileries Garden, Champs-Élysées and... More

Stay here for the location. This is my favorite area to stay while in Paris. If only the Ritz could have been moved to the left bank as part of its renovation!! In pure French fashion the hotel is petite - small front desk, small sitting area, small room. Actually, the room was tiny. I was not expecting much but... More

Hotel Recamier was a definite highlight of our trip to Paris. It is conveniently located... but not in the very center of all the tourist madness nearby in Saint Germain so it's a nice step away. You feel like you are part of a members only club when you walk in. It is a small entryway but it feels very... More

We chose the hotel based on the great reviews and location and it didn't disappoint! Cecile and Jessica at reception were absolutely wonderful helping us access our local sim card. There was a gorgeous handwritten congratulations note, chocolate and champagne for our honeymoon. Stay at the recamier, you'll love it!! Make sure you walk in Luxembourg gardens at 7.30am for... I booked this hotel for a weekend trip with my daughter in early June. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was just what we wanted. Tucked in a corner overlooking the church in a really lovely area. The staff were very helpful especially Cecilia on the front desk - she arranged restaurant bookings and provided helpful advice. The... More

Just returned from our third stay at this boutique hotel in the charming St. Germain area. Sorry to say the hotel is looking a little less lovely than on previous occasions. Carpets are worn and stained; housekeeping is uneven; and there appear to be fewer staff to service guests. A few examples: During a 5-night stay, we had turndown service... More

We had a great but short stay at this lovely hotel in St Germain (Latin quarter). Great design, super service and lovely ambience. The area is very romantic and is probably the nicest are of Paris. Great restaurants and cafes everywhere as are the shops in the area. Also remember to stop by Le Bon Marche; one of the greatest... More

My husband took me to Paris to celebrate my Birthday. We choose Hotel Recamier because on line the rooms looked nice and modern no fussy decor. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a room on the 5th floor. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was large and when standing on the juliette balcony you could see the Eiffer Tower. The... More

This boutique hotel is right next to the Saint Suplice church in the St Germain area of Paris. From here it is easy to walk to the Latin Quarter or the restaurants and shops in this area. It is also very close to a metro station. I chose this hotel because I have a hard time sleeping and wanted a... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
