A discreet and elegant hotel with charming staff and thoughtful fabulous design. A quiet area of Paris with Delacroix murals foot steps away. So small and pretty this hotel feels more like a private house where nothing is too much trouble and one is never disturbed

This beautiful small hotel is right next to the San Sulpice cathedral, the home of a wonderful organ in its weekly organ concerts. Some very good restaurants are close by although for breakfast my husband always insisted on eating the chocolate croissants in house. This is in walking distance to everything: Cluny, Louvre, Notre Dame. A short train ride takes... More

Hotel Recamier is somewhat hidden just off Place Saint-Sulpice in the 6th, and that's a good thing. This quiet, small luxury hotel is just what a boutique hotel should be with impeccable service and comfortable rooms. Attention to every detail is captured from the towel warmers in the bath room to the little reading lights above the bed to a... More

if you are looking for perfect experience in Paris this is hotel for you! Well it does not have the Eiffel view, but then again when you get to the Eiffel you have enough views there. And I did not come to Paris to sit in hotel room, but after long days walking and dinner the beds where soft, wifi... More

This is a lovely boutique hotel. Very friendly service, modern sophisticated design. Our room was small but very comfortable. All the amenities you expect in a room, comfortable double bed and very quiet, good bathroom and shower, heated mirror, scales all the details you expect in a good four star hotel. There is no restaurant but a lounge that serves... More

We loved this hotel. It is situated centrally on Place St. Suplice and just a beautiful setting. We had two adjoining rooms for our stay and I can't say enough about how beautiful the rooms were, how soft the sheets were, how simply pretty the decor was. Beyond everything else, the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I could offer... More

The Recamier Hotel is simply gorgeous. The decor is one of the best ones I've seen in Parisian boutique hotels. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres. My room was so beautiful and cozy, I did not even want to go out to eat -and that's a lot to say, when in Paris. The only drawback is that... More

The Recamier Hotel is a very nice small hotel in the heart of the Saint Germain next to Saint Sulpice church and plaza. Rooms are very well decorated, the staff is most helpful. Complementary Five o'clock tea is wonderful, bathroom was well arranged and feels very nice. And of course - location location location! The only drawback was the room... More

So great little hotel with a serious noise problem. We were woken up every morning by noisy staff and guests. The doors offer no noise reduction at all. We had to wear our headphones every night to cut out noise from above us (stomping and dropping of luggage & kids). Noise every morning from elevator/hallway. This after I requested a... More

As I am always saying, staff are always the essential ingredient to a great experience. The front of house staff here are excellent, knowledgable, helpful and friendly. The hotels location, tucked into a corner of Saint Sulplice is perfect and the decor is lovely. Yes, the rooms are snug and the lighting poor but the ambiance of the place more... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
