I cannot say enough positive things about my stay at the Hotel Lion D-or Louvre. I was here for my wedding with several friends and family staying at the same hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The staff at the hotel were warm, kind and accommodating. They booked reservations, car services, and went above and... More

My first time at Hotel du Lion D'Or was when I was in college 17 years ago. Ever since I have stayed there when I go to Paris. However, this was the first time I stayed at an apartment. Rest assured I will return next time I'm in Paris, which I hope won't be in the distant future. The top... More

A very friendly and welcoming hotel, perfectly located. The rooms are quite cosy and small but when you're in Paris you don't want to waste time in your room. A very tiny lift makes for a bit of an uncomfortable trip, definitely cannot fit any more than one person and bags into the lift. Would definitely stay here again, the... More

You are at the center of Paris near one of the most beautiful parc, near the river, some of the most beautiful museums of the world (Le Louvre; Orset, Oranger, Jeu de Paume, .... ) 10' walk from the Opera, etc... And you have tons of restaurant and the best shopping place in Paris: Grands magasin at 10' walk and... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and did not find it lacking in any way. I stopped by early to see if I could leave my luggage (they do have a storage room) and was offered an upgrade to a double room that was already available. Turned out to be very nice although I saw the single room and... More

We came to Paris for our first trip. I chose this hotel simply due to location as it was close to the louvre and closely surrounding attractions. The studio was ok the kitchenette was adequate, however it lacked the basics such as tea coffee sugar milk! The bathroom was very small and dated. The spare quilt in the cupboard had... More

Not a big, fancy hotel - but very clean and cozy, and you cannot beat the location! The Louvre is within a couple of blocks, and just across the river from the D'Orsay. Tons of stores and restaurants in the area as well. The only down sides - as some have mentioned, some of the rooms (including the one I... More

Stayed there for 3 nights, is conveniently located for shopping and sightseeing but be aware that there is no elevator, nor did they offer any help whatsoever with luggage. With a recent sprained/fractured ankle it was kind of difficult to climb 4 flights of stairs sometimes more than once a day. Receptionist girl nice, boy seemed annoyed. Breakfast was €12... More

The hotel is located on a side street so a little difficult for taxi driver to find. The elevator is a tight squeeze for 2 people without any luggage. If you are claustrophobic, you will need to take the stairs which are circular and steep. You actually have to climb up one flight of stairs to be on floor number... More

stayed in a two bedroom apartment for 2 nights after we moved from the horrible Ibis Hotel. We arrived at 130pm and the receptionist advise us to come back at 3pm as the room was not yet ready. he offered us to store our luggage which was a nice gesture. We asked how to book a trip to Versailles but... More
