The staff were very accomodating to our group needing a rollaway mattress, as well as keeping a supply of fresh towels available. The location is fantastic, the Louvre being only five minutes away, Orsay only a few minutes past that, and Notre Dame about 20 minutes walk south. The location makes this hotel an obvious choice for me when i... More

We were in a studio apartment on the third floor. If you have trouble with stairs, ask for a room on a lower level as the narrow building has a lot of them (and we are reasonable fit). The kitchenette offered flexibility we had not planned on, and there's a little fruit, grocery & wine store across the road, as... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and found it to be very convenient to most of the sites that we wanted to see. We were also within walking distance to the metro and RER stations, ATM, restaurants, and shopping. The staff, Jacques, Lilia, and Miriam, were very friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast is offered... More

This hotel has a perfect location for seeing the museums of Paris. Close to some great restaurants for families. Regrettably our room was on the 3 rd floor and no porterage was offered. A bit of a problem when you are over 60 and have just flown for 24 hours. The room could use some updating. We found the beds... More

The location is the stand out of this hotel so easy to get around from this location. Lots of great reasonably priced restaurant. The room we had was an apartment of sorts - main bed down stairs loft beds above. I would not recommend thus room for people with small children as the ladder to access the loft was precarious... From the reviews I had read I expected a better hotel. Nevertheless, the place is very centric and close to at least 2 subway stations, and also walking distance (around 10 mins.) to the Louvre and Touilleries, amongst others. The room is very small and you can hear the noise of other rooms; and the shower is very impractical. The... More

I cannot say enough positive things about my stay at the Hotel Lion D-or Louvre. I was here for my wedding with several friends and family staying at the same hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The staff at the hotel were warm, kind and accommodating. They booked reservations, car services, and went above and... More

My first time at Hotel du Lion D'Or was when I was in college 17 years ago. Ever since I have stayed there when I go to Paris. However, this was the first time I stayed at an apartment. Rest assured I will return next time I'm in Paris, which I hope won't be in the distant future. The top... More

A very friendly and welcoming hotel, perfectly located. The rooms are quite cosy and small but when you're in Paris you don't want to waste time in your room. A very tiny lift makes for a bit of an uncomfortable trip, definitely cannot fit any more than one person and bags into the lift. Would definitely stay here again, the... More
