great location, walking distance to all the sights in Paris. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms have all the required amenities but do not expect a lot of room to spread out. The hotel really gave you the full French experience. Would recommend staying there for the experience alone.

We stayed a full week in Paris last month and we had a very enjoyable time. From the minute we arrived the staff was welcoming and friendly. We had the chance to have our room ready before noon, which is a real plus after a long and exhausting flight. There is a high level of comfort : premium quality bedding,... More

One of my best vacation decisions, to stay at the Hotel de Varenne. We arrived early and were welcomed - our bags were stored while we went to a local cafe and our room was prepared to accommodate rather than make us wait, exhausted as we were after a night of travel. Our room was more than I expected -... More

First of all the location is perfect : central and upscale. As already mentioned staff is more than friendly and helpful, always smilling and giving very good tips. The comfort of our room was first class with very comfy bed and modern bathroom. We also loved the french classic decoration, this is what we wanted staying in a boutique hotel... More

The hotel is very well located. You can walk to many Paris' attractions and subway. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are average size and Internet works fine. It is maybe slightly over-priced given the limited facilities (no restaurant etc.) . Breakfast "à la carte" is served on tables installed in what used to be part of the lobby and should... More

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A friendly perfectly located hotel with all the comforts of home. Our charming suite was a welcome retreat each evening after busy days walking the streets of Paris. Even my fold out sofa bed was extra comfy! Our suite on the 3rd floor was spotlessly clean, roomy and nicely decorated. The perfect arrangement... More

We made a reservation here on the strength of many highly favorable TripAdvisor reviews and it was everything we expected and much more! The hotel is in the heart of the 7th Arrondissement, situated off a relatively quiet one-way street (with some traffic but not a lot). We found the 7th to be quieter, with less crowds and less traffic... More

Quality hotel run by accomplished staff. Too cold in January to enjoy the little entrance garden which our bedroom window overlooked. Lovely old fashioned bedroom - very comfortable bed and pillows. Good selection of TV channels from all over Europe: kettle and capsule coffee maker, free fast wi-fi. Mrs Me wants a special mention of the coat hangers which are... More

The de Varenne is an old style Paris hotel with all the ambiance that that involves. We chose it primarily for its location - a frw minutes walk to the Musee Rodin in one direction, the same distance to Invalides in the other. But we fell in love with the hotel itself - just for thr ambiance.

Booked two rooms at Hotel de Varenne for our girls trip away to Paris earlier this week having read many good reviews of it. Many reviewers had commented on its excellent location, which was our main reason for booking here and they were in fact right. The hotel is situated on the next street to the Varenne metro stop, only... More

Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
