We came Jan 15-20. Alas Paris was very quiet and a bit sad because of the Nov killings. We had the wheelchair room #104 it was big enough to get around in my manual chair. The shower is roomy I would suggest they add a shower bench. But it was easy to roll in and out to the street. Service... More

We visited Paris for our 10 year anniversary. I researched hotels and neighborhoods for months on Trip Adv, Lonely Planet, Fodors, etc.. Many people told us to stay near the Eiffel Tower, but we found that area to be extremely stuffy, over priced and more residential seeming when walking around. We prefer boutique hotels. The Henri IV Rive Gauche is... More

This hotel was perfect for our week-end in Paris. The location next to the Notre-Dame was perfect, as well as the 3 close metro stations and the RER station. The room was spacious, very calm and clean. The service was very nice and we could even check-in earlier than expected. I totally recommend it!

I stayed for a week and was quite pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent near the Latin Quarter and Notre Dam, and very close to the metro. I thought it would be noisy but it was not. The rooms were comfy and there was a good view out window of cathedral. I would go back.

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I booked a triple room for 3 adults and was given a spacious top floor room that was charming and had a lovely view of the lovely gothic church across the road (and a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower). The bathroom was generous and the room was clean and... More

Located on the rue St Jaques a very, very busy thoroughfare we were concerned about the noise, but an interior room of the hotel proved to be almost completely silent! The room was large by Paris standards with a beautifully finished marble tile bathroom. The concierge was very helpful in suggesting several wonderful places to eat. The hotel is quite... More

Our family of four stayed here for about a week in December 2014. The hotel staff was polite, but not overly friendly. The rooms vary in size and layout. One of our rooms was extremely small, with barely enough room to walk around the bed, while the other had lots of floor space. Both had small bathrooms, but both had... More

Our short two-night stay at Henri IV was very enjoyable with a terrific Latin Quarter location topped by a marvelous view from our two-window street front view directly across to Saint-Severin. (We were on return leg of three weeks in the Loire and Normandy regions.) While the room was on the typically Paris small size, it was well appointed, had... More

Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche is a small, quiet, charming, well located gem of a hotel. It has only 6 floors with 4 rooms per floor. A lovely petite dejeuner is served on the ground level. Our room was small but had everything we needed like a most comfortable bed, and very nice shower. From our room on the 5th... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in August. Location, location, location! This is in the Latin Quarter; you can walk to Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Severin is directly across the street and there are countless cool restaurants, cafes and bars. This area is SO happening. This is also convenient for the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour as one... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
