Very nice hotel well situated in the Latin Quarter and close enough to walk to most of the major attractions in Paris. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with two closets, free Wi-Fi, a bathtub, and great shower. Breakfast is not included but well worth the extra to enjoy lots of coffee, breads, yogurt, fruit, juice, meats, and cheeses. The... More

I forgot to review this hotel and stayed there last April. This hotel is in great location. I would definitely stay there again plus the price was decent. It's within walking distance to Notre Dame and a bunch of restaurants and the metro. We had a nice view from our window of the Main Street. We were worried about hearing... More

I didn't like this place. It wasn't worth the $200/night we spent there, I would have preferred to have more value or a better vibe. The staff was nice and helpful. I don't know what it was, but this was a decent place, it just wasn't worth the money.

We stayed here for three nights while in Paris. The location cannot be beat for some one visiting for a few days. It's within a few blocks of the metro, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, The Pantheon, Catacombs and tons of restaurants. We only needed to use the metro a few times. The breakfast was pricey for what it was, but... More

Henri IV is in the middle of the Latin Quarter blocks from Notre Dame. The location is great, very close to the metro and lots of lovely cafes within walking distance. The breakfast at 13 Euros seems pricey, but you get unlimited real American coffee which elsewhere runs about 5 Euros per cup. The building is very old. It was... More

My daughter and I came to Paris for a short break and chose the Henri IV primarily for its location. The hotel sits on a busy road but is an oasis of calm and quality. I was initially disappointed with our room allocation as it was at the back of the hotel but this made it quiet and the rooftop... More

We loved, loved, loved this hotel! Hubby and I brought our niece to Paris for her 15th birthday present. We had a triple room which was brilliant. She had her own separate bedroom area with a sliding privacy blind. (Did nothing to stop her uncle's snoring but even sound-proofing would struggle with that!) For a Paris hotel room it was... More

It's been several years since I stayed here (Oct. 2008, but the drop down menu doesn't go back that far), but I wanted to write this review so I'd remember it for the next time I'm in Paris. I was there by myself and was able to book a relatively inexpensive single room. The room was fairly small, but very... More

Beautiful, comfortable and a great location. We loved this place! Spacious, by European standards, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Soft & dreamy bedding (after horrible beds in Spain, we were thrilled). The best memory is the peaceful lavender scent of the hallways, though. Great place!

We stayed at the Hotel Henri IV in early February and had aost enjoyable stay. The room was quite large and clean and the bed was the biggest and most comfortable we have ever encountered. The hotel is tucked away in a cul de sac off the Rue d'Ecole in the middle of the Latin Quarter very close to the... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
