On my latest trip to Paris, I searched for a hotel not too far from Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur church. This one was perfect. At ten minutes from the top of the hill, and five minutes to the famous Moulin Rouge, that's definitely this hotel's biggest advantage. Not that the rest is poor. The room was decent sized (for... Having read some of the recent reviews of this hotel I don't recognise it at all. I also wonder if some people ever look at a map or read up about where they are going before booking a hotel. Montmartre has to be reknowned as one of the liveliest nightspots in France since time immemorial. Toulouse Loutrec was getting drunk... More

We spent two nights at this hotel and the staff were helpful. Our room was small but comfortable and was equipped with a bar fridge, TV and desk. The bathroom was however not ideal as the toilet was right up to the wall, which made it impossible to sit at a straight angle! Room was clean and the cleaning staff... More

The hotel was nothing like the images on booking.com. It was very dirty and poorly maintained. The staff were rude and unhelpful. It was also very noisy, situated close to busy bars and restaurants. The location is good in the heart of Monmartre and a stone throw from Sacre Ceour. Not worth 70€ per night/room

I would not recommend this hotel. Even with the windows closed it is very noisy all night! Not unclean but very shabby and the service was very basic unfortunately. The only positive was the internet and the proximity to the metro and surrounding sight seeing. There is no air conditioning and the lift is very small. The bed cover was... More

The hotel is fine, remember it is not a fancy expensive hotel that you paid your life savings to stay in. We had a room at the front so its noisy so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There isn't air conditioning either so doing the summer you will need to open the window again remember it... More

I've never been in a minimum security, day release prison but I'm sure after staying at this place I understand what it would be like. Firstly the pluses: Close to Rue Des Abesses, the Metro etc. An abundance of power points and toilet paper. The negatives?....read on: After a hard day traveling from Lisbon we arrived at the front door...gave... More

Very affordable, basic hotel that is clean, comfortable and will serve you well as you explore Paris. It is dated and due an upgrade and could offer better toiletries, then again at €50 per night in central Paris, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't necessarily stay for longer than a week but would definitely return for a short... More

Great location (Montmartre, near the metro) and good rooms for the price, with free wifi which worked quickly. Not really impressed on the service. On one occasion I was ignored at reception after waiting for ten minutes and saying excuse me several times which wasn't great. I also tried to use their computers (to print my boarding pass for the... More

We drove down to Paris for Christmas weekend, it was a last minute get a way and this hotel seemed to fit the budget and location! When arriving at the location it was quite easy to park, but driving around Paris streets is a challenge you want to think twice about taking! The hotel staff were so friendly and nice,... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
