It was a last minute deal and when booked it didn't specify no AC for single room. It's really hot in summer. And night time there's street noise as it's backyard for other apartment and day time there's construction noise across the street. The internet is unusable. I could hear noise from next door and people's door slam at night.... More

We had 2 very good days in the hotel. The room (superior room) was small, but clean and modern/renovated. The bathroom was also new, beautifull and functional. The bed was ok, but nothing special. Even couples would some times like NOT to share beddings, but no extra set of blankets, etc was available. Windows to the busy (busy with people... More

My experience with Central Hotel Paris is based on a stay in Superior Room. I think the quality of accommodation is significantly lower in Standard rooms, but my room was really cozy and clean with very clever located and surprisingly spacious wardrobe. The room was also very quiet at night. Bathroom is fresh, clean and spacious. There are a lot... More

We stayed in this hotel about 10 years ago and at the time it was really cheap by Paris standards and I guess it still is good value - we paid E173 per night. It's been refurbished in the mean time so the rooms look good but our room was tiny. Two steps out of the double bed and you... More

I had an early train from the Gare Montparnasse, so chose this hotel five minutes' walk away. The location was decent and the hotel itself fairly quiet and also clean. However, thin walls and wooden floors meant I heard a great deal from the landing and the adjacent room - not ideal when I wanted a good night's sleep. Not... More

It was not so expensive compared with others in the same area during the same period. It is conveniently located - near a metro station, near a department store and a supermarket, and most importantly near the airport bus station (just next to the Gare Montparnasse). It is good for those with heavy luggage and don't want to climb up... More

Central Hotel is reasonably priced and very convenient if you need to get to Montparnasse station. Close to lots of restaurants and cafes too. The lift is tiny, and very slow. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and judging by other pictures, the quality of rooms is very different depending on which floor you stay on. Our room was reasonably... More

We stayed for 5 Nights from end May to beginning June 2013 at Central Hotel Paris as a family of 3. I booked a triple room. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. Lift is tiny as mentioned by previous reviewers. The room and bathroom were clean and I think its a good room size for 3 persons... More

The Central Hotel is a very efficiently run, friendly operation. Rooms are compact but well appointed snd everything works. Plenty of hanging space and crisp sheets and blanket on comfortable double bed (preferable to overhot doonas which are not so easily adjustable for temperature). Lift is tiny but works well and is silent. Location opposite small park is pleasant and... More

Arrived on the Sunday night and due to leave the following Thursday morning. 5th floor via a very small lift the room allocated was small in comparison. Was awoken in the morning at around 8.00am to the sound of a digger ripping up the cobbled street outside the window. Ok, this is a working city and you have to make... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
