This has to be the noisiest hotel in Paris. There are half a dozen bars and clubs in this street and on Friday night (and I'm guessing Saturday, didn't stay to find out) the drunken shouting and screaming goes on until 5 or 6 am. At which point the clearing-up starts with more shouting and crashing of breaking bottles etc.... More

Stayed 7 nights. Perfect location 13 small family restaurants on our block. I got sick and called manager. She had English speaking Dr. at our apt. in less than an hour for 80 Euros. Got prescription and better next day. We missed some sights so will stay there again when we come back.

REALLY REALLY AVOID THIS PLACE. The good location of the hotel, means you are surrounded by good restaurants, bars, nightlife, and this also means you cant sleep. The hotel should put a warning sign, as, stay in this hotel, harms your sleep in the night. Otherwise it is unfair to the guests. But they did not, and once you complain,... More

I chose this location for a two-nights business trip to Paris. Price and position were very interesting, so I paid in advance despite various critics I found in tripadvisor. Well, I was completely satisfied. The apartment was comfortable (for me alone), clean and with excellent wi-fi connection. No breakfast included but so many bars and boulangeries in the neighbourhood easily... More

Best possible vacation and all because of this hotel! In the heart of where you want to be. Close to St.germaine e and st. Sulpice metro lines. Lara was very sweet, dont know what the other reviews were about? Awesome restaurants and bars are all near by, litterally just outside the door, but the kitchenette was nice because things in... I liked staying at this hotel. I loved the little kitchenette that came with the room. We were able to save money by cooking our own food and not eating out all the time. The hotel is in St Sulpice. And is around great bars and restaurants. It is near the metro and a mall and wet market with fresh... More

Owner, Lara, seems to be American. Delta lost our luggage over Christmas and for 6 days have been w/o our stuff. Delta found our luggage and called Lara on Sat to coordinate drop off and she didn't even bother letting us know. We just happened to come back to our room for a break and I sent an email to... We spent 3 nights here. There's no staff or reception so you meet someone to get a key, and if you need anything you call. The rooms are TINY; my husband and had 1 carry-on bag each, and nowhere to put them both if they were open. The kitchen facilities seemed like a nice idea, but with the bags in... More

Small studio apartment in a charming old building a stylish neighborhood. But 20 restaurants in the street below created unbearable noise levels at night, on weekends the noise continued unabated until the wee hours of the morning. It was without question absolutely the worst noise problem I've ever encountered in a hotel in 40 years of travel. Some apartments face... More

Check in was different by ringing the door but it worked well. Very nice location with plenty of bars and cafes and near transportation. Got our iPad stolen from our backpack while wearing it in the metro. The hardest bed we have ever slept on. Pillows were very thin.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
