The only thing going of this place is its location, close to a main street and a large variety of restaurants and shops. The alley way to get to the hotel is frequented by too many undesirables and the hotel itself is old and rundown inside with small rooms, narrow corridors and noisy lifts and walls. The room I stayed... More

Small cosey hotel but was only used as a base due to being out exploring the whole time we were there. The rooms are small but the beds Were so comfy. The breakfast is simple too, serving yourself, but again its a great base. Theres a small bakery next door plus a chocolate shop which Sold the best macaroons.

This hotel is average for the price. Very small bathroom, can only early have one person in there at a time. The location is okay if you want to be near the Grande Boulevards and the Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. The staff are helpful at a push but wouldn't go as far as saying they were friendly. I agree with... More

The room was fine for one person. Breakfast was good for those of you who love your bread and crossiants like myself. Location was somewhat central but in a terrible looking alleyway with terrible looking people around at night. It was also very noisy with people yelling about at night and at early hours of the morning. Staff was helpful... More

The hotel is set behind the main streets, under an archway alongside a few other hotels (look up for the 'Cite Bergere Hotels' sign). There were a couple of lovely old fashioned glass-covered shopping arcades nearby. There is a supermarket (Carrefour) across from the archway. There are loads of restaurants & bars on the main road, some were pricey (although... More

Feeling very disappointed after researching this hotel..the website is NOT a true representation of the hotel at all!! Rooms are tiny making moving around difficult but the worst experience was the bathroom, although fairly new and clean the size was ridiculous..I am only 5ft 2 but my knees touched the wall when on the toilet,my daughters boyfriend had to sit sideways!!The... Just returned from a 4 night break at this hotel with my daughter, after looking at the reviews I was a bit concerned about staying here. However I was pleasantly surprised, the location is good , yes the rooms are small, we couldn't fully open our bedroom door as the bed was in the way! But I was there only... More

The rooms were tiny, your knees literally hit the walls of the bathroom when sitting on the toilet, shower was tiny - every time you turn around in the shower your but turns the water off. The rooms were clean and the location was perfect. Some hotel reception staff were helpful, some were rude. The lift buttons didn't work and... More

Victoria Hotel is located near a bustling street of shops, restaurants and bars, which was great in the evenings. We particularly enjoyed the range of reasonably priced cocktail bars! Our hotel room and bathroom were extremely small, however we spent little time in the room as we were out exploring for most of the day so this didn’t really matter.... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
