We recently stayed one night in this hotel. The hotel is located close to the Montmartre are with its Sacre Coer church. From the upperlevel rooms you'll see it direct from your window, which is absolutly lovely. The Hotel is cheap but the rooms and the service was very good. There is no restaurant in the hotel itself because it's... More

We travelled by Eurostar & the hotel was a short walk from the Gare Du Nord. Our apartment was on the first floor over looking the street. Wifi access in our room was good. On entry was a compact bathroom with shower then onto a lounge come kitchenette and there was the bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The art... More

Great location from which to walk to Montmartre. Metro within 5 mins walk. Comfortable bed, small kitchen which opened into lounge room with TV. Small but adequate bathroom/toilet. Food left ready for your first breakfast. If you're prepare to self cater as well as eat out, you won't get too much better at the very reasonable price. All the staff... More

Villa Montmartre offers a reasonably priced option, that goes beyond being just a hotel. Given the cost of rooms in Paris 90 Euros (the rate we paid on booking.com) gave us a bedroom, tight with the double bed, a kitchen/living room, with a pull out sofa, which one of our guests used, and a decent bathroom. Basic food was even... More

Great location in a very busy street but perfect for visiting Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, just watch your knees climbing all the steps! We had a very helpful girl who moved us from a very noisy 1st floor front room to the 6th floor front room, the view made up for the noise as we overlooked the Sacre Coeur site.... More

There is no doubt that this apartment is in a lively part of Paris and not one of the cleanest but we were out at all hours and never once felt uncomfortable. There is a great quality 'Carrefour' supermarket down the road and plenty of decent coffee shops nearby. The Barbes Rochechouart metro is the best to use as it... More

Very reasonably priced and perfectly located for a visit to the Sacre Coeur(5 mins walk). The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we found it to be nice and quiet at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On the day of leaving we were allowed to leave our bags in the reception while we explored. The area surrounding... More

Beds were very comfortable, quite clean, nice touch to have breakfast food in fridge! Shower was incredibly small! Afternoon and early evening desk clerk was incredibly rude to guests coming in though morning clerk was very nice. night clerk spent most of her time on personal telephone calls and basically left guests to fend on their own, her biggest comment... The reviews were good so I booked it as being close to Gare du Nord and Montmartre. The area between the Metro and the Hotel is pretty dirty and there are a lot of street sellers hanging around, but we did not feel unsafe. Walk north and west, literally 100m, and the area becomes nice, some good cheap restaurants in... More

After reading several reviews both here and booking decided to try this hotel. It was horrible. It was in a crack district!!! The metro stop was super scary and we were asked if we wanted to buy crack, had to step over druggies and harassed about buying things the moment we stepped out. It was hot and we were on... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
