We found this apartment to have basic furnishings, but an excellent bed and linen and every required for a comfortable stay. An excellent location short walk to the centre of Montmatre and close to the metro . The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you are arriving late make sure you make arrangements during business hours to gain entry... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in this accommodation and what really stands out is the staff. On arrival we were met by a very effusive Sergio, who was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We then met Adele, who is one of the loveliest young ladies you could find on reception anywhere. She is quiet and... More

The room was large and very clean, and the bed comfortable. Having a small kitchenette was great. Just down the road is a Carrefour, so you can stock up your little fridge with whatever you need. The hotel is a quick walk away from Chateau Rouge and a slightly longer one from Anvers. It's not a long walk in to... More

The flay was just 300 meters away from Chateau-Rouge metro station and very close to Sacre-Coure Basilica. The flat lane itself had supermarkets like Leader-Price and Carrefour. Tati was at walkable distance. Flat lane was quiet and unnerving looking at the kind of people roaming around, but with in 400-500 meters one was in the best of the locations of... More

They sorted out wifi, now available on all floors. Nice place to stay away from normal commercialized areas. Close to Metro station and some nice restaurants in area. Not luxury but clean and good value for money. Walking distance from sacre coerre (forgive my spelling) and moulin rouge

We chose Villa Montmartre because of its location. It is convenient to several Metro stops. Of course, the Sacre Coure and its sub neighbourhoods are relatively close at hand. The three members of staff we met were cordial and professional. They tried to help with the balky lift. We found that walking to the 2nd floor, the elevator then would... More

Firstly you have to recognise that this is Paris and that rooms are small. In saying that you really are not in them much and you are only showering and sleeping there. The rooms we booked (had two as four of us) were clean and tidy, the HOT water is so hot that it can hurt when you hit the... More

Stayed here for one night in September and had a great stopover. Bright , airy appartment with everything needed for a short stay. Fantastic views day and night of the Sacre Coeur which was also within easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants, bars and and excellent supermarket nearby. Can thoroughly recommend for an alternative look at Paris.

Our room had a picturesque view of Sacre Coeur, plus the staff was extremely helpful, pleasant, and friendly! This area is perfect for those who enjoy an atmosphere of lively evening socializing outdoors. There is no air conditioning, but aside from that we enjoyed our stay here very much! The kitchenette was perfect for not eating every meal out; we were... More

We've just returned from a 4 night stay and we were pleased with the hotel. Good value for money, decent sized room and it was very handy having a little kitchen area (no toaster though) as we could have breakfast and coffee in the room before heading out for the day. The bathroom is very small but functional. We were... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
