I love the northern part of the Marais and the Hotel Jacques de Molay is in a great position. Everything you could want is close by - cafes, shopping, metro and a great vibey neighbourhood. The staff were very helpful and as we stayed during the taxi strikes last year helped us work out how to get to the airport... More

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I was very nervous when planning where to stay as this was my first trip to Paris. Fortunately, those fears were gone the minute I arrived at the Hotel Jacques de Molay. The staff was super nice and spoke very good English. They went out of their way to be helpful... More

We stayed at this hotel for five nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so kind and very knowledgable about the area. I ran into the owner out on the street one day and he quickly offered his assistance with some heavy bags! Our room was very nice and plenty of room for two of us. The hotel... More

I have had a really good experience in Jacques de Molay hotel. It is very well located on the northern part of Le Marais district, close to Temple Square. You can walk down Rue des Archives and reach the Seine in 10-15 mins. I got a room on the 4th floor, it was a Superior room. However I must admit... More

I've stayed at this hotel before its renovation and I remember that it has really small rooms. Upon arrival they upgraded us to a bigger room on the frontside. The room was nice, and I do like the work they did on it. It is much more modern now. Eventhough the rooms are by no means big and the bathroom... More

This was a chic boutique hotel between Marais and Republique. There's an incredible coffee place nearby called Foundation Coffee that also served a lovely tartine of toast and avocado. Not where you'd go if you wanted croissants and french drip coffee (we live in europe). The room was clean, new and functional. For Paris, I wouldn't consider it small. We... More

This hotel is in a great location to shops, museums, cafes and a variety of transport options. It is very comfortable and reasonably priced and has its own restaurant for breakfast. If you stay here do some searching on it's place in history and find at least 2 other nearby places associated with it. No ironing board in rooms but... More

Room size to be expected in Paris but more than functional. Clean and chic loved it. Location was excellent restaurants/bars everywhere you walked. Hotel staff were warm and welcoming and dealt with our broken French in perfect English. Nothing was too much of a problem. Liinaa was a wonderful host and always presented with a smile. We appreciated the relaxing... More

First time in Paris. Checked around comparing the hotels in various areas and amenities and found this hotel to be the best match. It does not look like much from the outside but it very cute inside. Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
