The staff was fantastic and really helped us out with directions and even wrote out the metro links we needed. They were really helpful with getting us our reservations for the Eurostar to London. We wouldn't have had such an easy time of it ourselves. Was very clean and the breakfast was enough to start the day. The room could... More

When travelling with a 7 and 10 year old in a foreign country two of my main concerns are - how easy is it going to be to feed them and get them around? Although we drove into Paris, we didn't want to be driving around the city and it's hard to find hotels that have any parking, let alone... More

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 8 and 10. As other reviewers have described great location, fantastic neighbourhood, Metro was very convenient. Approx. half an hour max to all the sites, Eiffel Tower, louvre, sacre le couer etc. The staff were fantastic especially the lady who gave us hints everyday on where to go. We had 2... More

Perfectly located hotel in lovely area. Rooms were clean and quiet, ours were on the top floor. Windows opened (we love fresh air) and there was also air con. There were 2 adults and 3 kids so we had rooms next door. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic, very close to Metro station with bakery, butchers, supermarket and... More

We had a nice, clean, comfortable room in this very small, convenient hotel located off the main tourist track. About a block from the train station or less with many boulangeries/patisseries and restaurants scattered around. We had breakfast across the street - le petit dejeunier - which was delicious. A/C worked great and was quiet. It was nice to be... More

One of my favorite hotels in Paris! Stayed for two weeks with family. We booked two rooms which were located across from each other on the third floor. Hotel is perfectly located two minutes away from Pernety metro (great line into the "touristy" part of Paris) but out of the fray of the hordes of tourists. We felt like we... More

I arrived at 20.15 and my booking was cancelled at 19.09 by email and my room desappered! I had to find another room around spending a lot of money! The guy at the reception didn't give me any explanation, only an useless "sorry"! This is completly unaccetable!! It's a shame!!!

Sir, Thank you for taking time to leave us this review. Please note that no one in our establishment could cancel any reservation without any reason! Could it be possible to tell us more about your booking: fist name, last name, the booking reference in order to figure out what happened, maybe the guarantee you've provided was not valid. Kind... We had 3 rooms at 55 Montparnasse. We booked through Orbitz, and there was some trouble with getting the room with 2 twin beds, but the hotel adjusted and took care of it. The rooms are small, as you expect in Europe, but the superior room had a much larger bathroom. All the rooms were quite clean and the beds... More

Good location in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, right next to a metro that takes you directly to Champs Elycee. Found a good restaurant nearby, recommended by hotel staff. Very friendly and helpful staff. Made us feel welcome and helped us a lot, especially when my son got ill. The hotel is tiny, in an attractive way, cozy. Our room was... More

Could not believe how close this was to Metro station Pernety! So convenient. The staff were pleasant. The breakfast was included in the cost of our room on a promotion they were running and was simple, but adequate and tasty enough. Included free Wi-Fi which was essential for our needs. Lift was also smallish but big enough for both of... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
