We like the old frech style decoration and location. Madeleine metro station (line 8-12-14) is 3 minutes, Saint Lazare (line 3-12-13-14) metro station is 5 min. away. You can easily walk to Concorde and Opera. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and wi-fi connection was good. There is no room service after 11:00 pm. Night shift staff does'nt speak English... This is the second time I have stayed here - and only because they gave me a special rate because the first stay was such a disaster! NEVER again. No hot water both times! You can forgive a one off unfortunate boiler break down, but 1 month later the same problem? Please! Avoid it like the plague!!

I thought the comments on the hotel were a bit exagerated ... in fact, they were not. Let's starts with the positive points: the location is great, next to La Madeleine church; I slept well. But apart from that, it is really difficult to find how this hotel could be categorized as a 4 stars. Although the design statement of... More

I did not really believe what was written on tripadvisor until I arrived at this hotel. However, now that I spent 4 nights in the hotel, I can confirm that this place is really bad. Rooms are rather small and equipped with old (OLD, not nice and antique) furniture which maybe looked good 20 years ago. For me as a... More

With all the infos here about that hotel I was surprised that our assistant booked it for a show here. But we had a nice stay: good room sie sie size, slept well in the bed, friendly staff, bath room in good shape, typical french breakfast ..... I could experience much worse hotels in Paris....

It was awful, mainly for the third "bed." Or, what was called a bed. We were three ladies living it up in Paris, and the third bed was a tiny fold-out couch. The size wasn't the problem - it was simply unbearable to sleep on! Aside from the lumps, you could actually feel the springs. We went downstairs to ask... More

Over priced, Tiny rooms, dirty bathroom, fake star rating, no facilities, worthless breakfast, unfriendly staff except for the lady during breakfast, language issues.... They took a copy of my credit card and when I protested, they threatened me with forfeiture of booking fee. Location is good, about 1.7 km from champs élysées and about 3 km from arc de triumph.... This is my first review, I had to do it because the Hotel was awful! Please reconsider going here, yes good location but there are much better hotels in the same area. The list of calamities seems endless: air con broken, rooms are grubby, showers don't work, no room service available when we arrived, plug sockets not working. 20Euros for... More

I booked this hotel for the business trip. The location is perfect, you are in the very center of Paris, close to many famous places and shopping area. The room was smaller, the bathroom and toilet very small (imagine a seating in an airplane, it is exactly the same). Too small even for Paris. The front desk staff was very... More

While the location is ok at Place de la Madeleine, the hotel is pretty old. The minifridge and the phone did not work and were not fixed while we were there :( The rooms are very small and pretty depressing, and the elevator fits 2 persons. The staff is nice, but really, there are nicer hotels in Paris...

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
