Excellent location. Very nice people running the hotel. When mistake made giving wrong room keys, they made up with small bottle of champaign: mistake forgiven and forgotten. Adequate breakfast. Acceptable prices for the location. Quiet street close to boulevard. Will go back when in Paris next and tel l my friends and colleagues about this stay.

cose to the Sorbonne and the Latin Quarter this is a nice old fashioned hotel which is being renovated. The works posed no problems at all and the hotel was clean, quiet and nice to stay at. Staff were very helpful, liked the lobby area where it was possible to relax and read. Breakfast was nice and traditional - good... More

The hotel du College de France is an old acquaintance, as my parents have stayed here since i was a teenager. This was my first time staying alone with my wife, however. - First and foremost, the staff. One of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of meeting. As a perfect example, we were there when they celebrated their... More

The hotel is nicely located on a small side street in the Quartier Latin district. We chose the hotel because of the outstanding reviews it has received. We didn't want any fancy hotel but just a place to sleep after spending a long day walking around the city. And from this point of view this the hotel was a very... More

We spent 3 nights in this small Parisian hotel in November. Its location is wonderful--in the Latin Quarter but far enough from the tourist traffic. Nice restaurants were in the area. The rooms in the hotel are small with dated furniture, but everything is very clean and functions well. The bed was quite comfortable. We ate breakfast at the hotel,... More

I stayed here for a week in mid August 2014 before travelling south. A very personable small hotel, very parisian french feel in a great location. I had a balcony room on the 2nd floor (23 I think) with a wonderful view of the street looking up to the Sorbonne. Very clean and well maintained. They were refurbishing the back... More

My husband and I love this hotel. It is clean, friendly, and a great location, just a couple blocks from the Sorbonne. The price is good for Paris. The carpet and furniture is well used, but we don't expect luxury, just a clean, decent place to stay. The beds are clean and comfortable. The usual city noise, but I bring... More

Nice little boutique hotel very convienently located in the latin quarter. Not a lot of money and very centrally located of where we wanted to be . The staff was very nice. Exceptionally nice was Marc and Sadr. The supporting staff was very friendly but I didn't get a chance to get their names.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
