The hotel is small and central, adjacent to Boulevard St Germaine, with hundreds of restaurants nearby. We chose a room on 6th floor as it was bigger with a balcony, but the lift only services the 5th floor, so that may be important to you. The room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. The breakfast was good continental.... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the spring. The hotel is centrally located, once we got off the metro we had about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. A nice location, near Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter was very enjoyable as well. We liked the room and I loved that the window opened onto the street. If it... More

I booked this hotel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. It turned out to be a perfect choice. I corresponded with the proprietors via email and once over the phone before we arrived. They were patient with my minimal French and spoke English when I couldn't keep up the conversation. They were welcoming and helpful. We booked a king room with... More

My wie and i had the pleasure of calling this hotel home during a 9 night stay. This was our first trip to Europe and were concerned about location, logistics, and laguage barriers. My friendly staff, in particular Mr. Linh, Mr. Bruno, and Mr Santana, put all our cares to rest. They spoke wonder english, were always avaliable to point... More

I've stayed in this hotel several times over the years, and it just gets better and better. The location is fabulous, most (all?) rooms are street-side, bathrooms are updated and spic and span, beds are comfy, wifi is good, etc. etc. The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. The hotel is a great value for the price. I can't... More

Ideally situated near to Boulevard St Germain, near the Seine, Notre Dame. Rooms are tiny but everything that you need is provided. Comfy beds and good showers, hairdryer. Loads of Cafes, restaurants and shops. Serves a lovely continental breakfast for 10E.

Pros: Location: Hotel is in a wonderful location. Very short walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Lots of cafes, restaurants in surrounding area but hotel itself is on nice quiet back street. Room: was small but adequate. Very warm. Staff: Very friendly, called taxi for us, couldn't do enough. Cons: Ironing: no iron in room and couldn't borrow one. Instead had... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. The room is clean and comfortable, we have everything we need. Thank you so much for lending me a blanket last night when we were having dinner outside across the street. It made our dinner even more enjoyable. Merci beaucoup!

This is a typical French Hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. We were in the largest room on the 6th floor. It had a small balcony. Remodeling was taking place in other rooms on our floor but did not present a problem. Mr Santa Ana was very helpful in assisting us with transportation into Paris from Versailles where we turned... Absolutely lovely, helpful staff (everyone I dealt with spoke English, too!). Small clean room had absolutely everything I needed - comfy bed, windows I could open and a nice view of a typical street in Paris. So close to many major sites and cafes, and very short walks to 3 metro stations. Mr. Sadr and Mr. Santa Ana are both... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
