Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. The room is clean and comfortable, we have everything we need. Thank you so much for lending me a blanket last night when we were having dinner outside across the street. It made our dinner even more enjoyable. Merci beaucoup!

This is a typical French Hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. We were in the largest room on the 6th floor. It had a small balcony. Remodeling was taking place in other rooms on our floor but did not present a problem. Mr Santa Ana was very helpful in assisting us with transportation into Paris from Versailles where we turned... Absolutely lovely, helpful staff (everyone I dealt with spoke English, too!). Small clean room had absolutely everything I needed - comfy bed, windows I could open and a nice view of a typical street in Paris. So close to many major sites and cafes, and very short walks to 3 metro stations. Mr. Sadr and Mr. Santa Ana are both... More

Excellent location. Very nice people running the hotel. When mistake made giving wrong room keys, they made up with small bottle of champaign: mistake forgiven and forgotten. Adequate breakfast. Acceptable prices for the location. Quiet street close to boulevard. Will go back when in Paris next and tel l my friends and colleagues about this stay.

cose to the Sorbonne and the Latin Quarter this is a nice old fashioned hotel which is being renovated. The works posed no problems at all and the hotel was clean, quiet and nice to stay at. Staff were very helpful, liked the lobby area where it was possible to relax and read. Breakfast was nice and traditional - good... More

The hotel du College de France is an old acquaintance, as my parents have stayed here since i was a teenager. This was my first time staying alone with my wife, however. - First and foremost, the staff. One of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of meeting. As a perfect example, we were there when they celebrated their... More

The hotel is nicely located on a small side street in the Quartier Latin district. We chose the hotel because of the outstanding reviews it has received. We didn't want any fancy hotel but just a place to sleep after spending a long day walking around the city. And from this point of view this the hotel was a very... More

We spent 3 nights in this small Parisian hotel in November. Its location is wonderful--in the Latin Quarter but far enough from the tourist traffic. Nice restaurants were in the area. The rooms in the hotel are small with dated furniture, but everything is very clean and functions well. The bed was quite comfortable. We ate breakfast at the hotel,... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
