We stayed in Taylor Hotel for 4 nights and had an enjoyable stay. Hotel is nicely decorated, staff very friendly and helpful, also spoke good English. We had a front facing room with balcony which was lovely. Hotel is 3 minute walk to nearest metro stop, and metro line takes you wherever you need to get, mainly line 8 so... More

I was pleasantly surprised at the closeness to Gard de Nord station, this was definitely a plus! We arrived pretty late and was greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception. We were checked in pretty quickly, and upon entering our room was surprised at the size and cleanliness. No complaints! (actually we had one small issue that's not even worth... More

Tourist level hotels in Paris are notorious for small size, shabby appearance and being generally a bit tired and worn down. On the other hand no-one seems to care because Paris is so lovely and has so much to see/do/soak up, only a fool spends more than 8 hours (7 sleeping) in the hotel. Hotel Taylor IS a tourist hotel... We visited Paris in August 2013 for a short break on the Eurostar. The Taylor Hotel is very conveniently located to the Gard de Nord Terminal, which we walked from and to as it was a lovely day and didn't have much luggage. Upon arrival, we were met my a very well English speaking member of staff and they explained... More

My husband and I visited this hotel over Easter to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The hotel is really nice, staff is very friendly, rooms are well looked after. Can't find much wrong with it, in fact I've booked it again for a second visit next week, this time with my mum. Very central location, albeit a little hidden at first.... More

Paid for 3 nights. Left after only one!! And that was because i arrived very late and tired! Double room was in the Attic. The size of a cupboard! No air conditoning. Wardrobe door was hanging off and a huge hole in the wall inside it. Impossible to watch t.v ( it was on the wall at the side of... More

We stayed here for two nights in August 2014 on a mini-trip around Europe. It's a small-sized hotel, with just a basic reception area, small back room with internet and sofa, and then it's basically up stairs to the bedroom floors. We had never stayed in Paris before, but get the impresion most city-centre hotels are of this style. Our... More

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. I had many disappointments and problems while staying here. First, the bathroom sink was clogged, so I had to brush my teeth, wash my face, etc. in the shower until it was fixed. Then I made the mistake of ordering something off of the room service menu. I ordered a caprese salad,... More

Stayed there with my partner for a couple of nights in July. The pro: Republique is a pretty convenient location for travelling around Paris. The staff was nice, bilingual, and helpful The average: The room is functional but nothing more. It looks like an old place with a bit of paint on top to hide its age. The general quality... More

Stayed for two nights as it was a convenient location and was booked for me. I think this hotel appeals more for the romantic couple than the business man. They promote it as a boutique hotel. It is quite pretty and quaint and the rooms all have their own individual style. The room service menu is rather interesting! What was... More
