I booked this hotel for a week of business in Paris. The website pictures looked good and the price was attractive. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked. If you're a budget conscious traveller who doesn't need fantastic room facilities and doesn't mind walking or using the metro, then the Mont-Dore is perfectly adequate! We travelled to Paris with our 1 year old daughter and were told that this was a friendly family Hotel, perfect for us. We thought it was nice. We too were sent down the hill from Hotel des Arts,victims of overbooking.Don't book with them or off you'll go following an overnight flight.What a bummer!I would return to Mt. Dore,however. more

I've just come back from that hotel in Paris.. booked in hotel des Arts...but like many was sent away, supposedly to a better hotel!!!! problems with computer bookings . We were so disappointed when we got to Hotel du Mont Dore: no cachet, no style.. room service, I dont think so...we had to beg for a cup of tea ,... more

Like quite a few others we'd booked the Des Arts in Montmartre and like others we suffered their overbooking scam. We were transferred to the Mont Dore. Friendly staff.
