Very basic hostel. We stayed in a 14-person room with one bathroom, but that's what we were expecting really for the low-ish price we paid. However, the staff weren't very welcoming (especially the scary man behind the bar. I'm sure he's great but we didn't get to experience his charm.) in terms of security everything was alright. We had an... More

Stayed at this hostel for 2 nights for a short visit to Paris with friends. Great atmosphere in the bar with clean bijou rooms. I don't understand why it has such a poor review. I recommend it to anyone planning on a short stay, it's more than sufficient!

Location is very good, 100m from the tube station. in 20min you are just in the triumph arc. The room very clean, the guy who cleans is also very kind and talkative. The reception good, they speaks at least good english, some spanish and native french, also they are very kind and have a lot of patience with us. Pro:... More

I'm very happy with our stay here, even though the airline lost out luggage and we only had the clothes we wore, our passports and phones. The staff is really nice and the hostel is clean, both the rooms and common areas. Close to a few different metros. Great place to meet new people too, will definitely stay here next... More

We came to Paris for a two day stay, before we continue to St.Martin. They receive us in the middle of the night, and welcomed us very nice. Well, the room was a bit small, but we spent most of the time downstairs at the bar (great cocktails). The guy working at the bar was very friendly. The view for... More

The hostel is located in front of a fire station so no quietness at all. The staff was actually pretty kind, at least the girl and the morochian bar tender. There was a guy though who looked like disgusted to be there, he was just there doing his job not even smiling. Unless you were a girl or looked european.... More

Myself and a friend stayed at the Peace and Love hostel in Paris for 3 nights. Really easy to find, a metro stop across the road and supermarket around the corner. We found the hostel great, simple but just what any traveller needs. We stayed in a 3 person room, while it was a bit crammed it wasn't really an... More

Paris is not a cheap city when it comes to accommodation. This hostel is a good choice for travellers on a budget. Low price introduces some limitations. You can not consume meals and alcohol in the rooms. Shared kitchen also does not have a sufficient amount of equipment. After all, I would recommend this hostel as a wonderful start point... More

Clean rooms. Nice views. Clean bats. Super friendly staff. Nice kitchen. Cute little in house bar ( the bar itself wasnt very homy though and more club like.. without the club) Good location but a million stairs so don't bring too much luggage and the light in the bath didn't work. I would definetily recommend it!

Staying in Canal Saint-Martin

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighborhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
