Unfortunately the only positive thing I can say is that the staff are friendly. The rooms are the tiniest I've ever seen. No room to even put your suitcase down. Less than one metre between all walls and the bed. No air con despite being boiling hot, and the little fan they provide does nothing to cool the room. Boys... More

If you're looking for some really cost effective options in Paris, then the Comfort Hotel in Lamarck is just for you! The hotel is situated approximately 4 minutes away from the nearest underground subway with an array of restaurant, bars and local convenience stores for that extra toothbrush or tube of toothpaste you might have forgotten to pack. However, the... More

We chose this hotel due to its location to our friends who were living down the street. It was adequate, and clean. As it is a budget hotel we were not expecting large bathrooms and rooms. It was all clean and the bathroom was modern and pristine; just small. So if you are a large person you might want to... More

Great location with metro station within 2 minutes walk not too far from main tourist attractions such as Moulin Rouge and Cathedral of Sacre Couer. Nice staff (especially the two ladies working at reception). Two big downsides: 1: even though we hang the sign "Do Not Disturb" on the door, every morning a cleaning lady knocked the door asking if... More

Second time we stayed here due to location. If you love monmartre it is ideal..great for metro and local bars...great for mixing with the locals. If you want luxury this is not for you although its clean, small, comfortable bedrooms have been updated and breakfast a simple continental. Our equilvalent to a travel lodge .Linda on reception very helpful and... More

Stayed on Bastille Day (wasn't aware when booking) and apparently it's totally normal for locals to throw fireworks about (one was thrown towards me and my friend and exploded only a few feet away.) This was going on literally outside the hotel. Didn't get any sleep because of the fireworks and small home made explosives being thrown around until 5am.... More

Hotel has good ubication and is clean enough but front desk personnel is just not interested at all in making your experience any bit better. No help at all. We asked to have a boarding pass printed and they wouldn't even help us if we played for the print

This was our first visit to Paris but we had done our research and knew what to expect from bargain hotels in Paris. This place did not disappoint. The rooms were pretty small especially the bathroom but everything worked. The hotel had been remodeled from an apartment building (so it seemed) and you could tell. The plumbing in the bathroom... If you don't need to stay in downtown Paris, this little hotel in Montmatre-right outside the train station (@30 min.from Paris) is perfect. You're right in the middle of a little town, a boulangerie on the corner, a fantastic coffee place on the other one, the post office right at the exit of the train station, an internet office at... Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
