This hotel is very clean and small. The room (615 on 6th floor) is probably typical of all of the rooms. Size is OK but not great and when we asked or anon smoking room-we were put in a smoking room. However, I did find the staff very helpful generally. Its a very easy access hotel to the nearby Montparnasse... More

Stayed here for three nights as part of a tour package. Great location close to Metro stations, lots of restaurants, creperies, shopping (Gallerie Lafayette) and close to attractions. If you are looking for a "Ritz-type" hotel, this is not it! BUT you will get a small, efficient room, clean and near a many places to visit for an inexpensive price.... More

My friend and I decided to stay here as we had an early train to catch to Bordeaux from Gare du Montparnasse. Upon arrival, we were surprised that the room was very decently sized unlike the reviews of most Paris hotels which we have read. Hotel room was very clean and receptions were pretty helpful for Parisians / French well-known... More

We stayed 2 adults and 2 children in one room. It was narrow , very tight. The room had two small windows that let in minimal light. It was difficult to move and even harder when for some reason we needed to open a suitcase . We are glad that we still could sleep together . We would like to... More

I recently stayed at the Mecure as part of our group. I found the hotel rooms to be very clean, the location is in easy access to several Metro stations and the neighborhood is lovely. The rooms are spacious and offer bed lights, great pillows and cable TV. There are plenty of restaurants and many that specialized in crepes. be... More

My husband, granddaughter and I stayed at this hotel very recently. It was wonderful! The room are clean and well decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable! The hot breakfast was great, including the very freshly squeezed orange juice! They even give you free bottles of Evian water in your room. I highly recommend this hotel. It is also located in... We booked this hotel for its location, as regular visitors to Paris we find this location excellent for both restaurants and transport. This was our first stay at the Mercure Gaite and we will definitely return. The hotel reception is well decorated and airy, the reception staff were very friendly and efficient and we were soon given our room key... More

Comment disclaimer:My review is my opinion. At times, some may disagree, however it is my opinion only. I was just checked into room 501 and after we turned the heat on there was a rotten-sulfur smell. I tried explaining it to the front desk clerk but at first he didn't understand me. He at first offered a maintenance man to... More

The hotel is very well located and we had the chance to have a window to the backyard, view on the Montparnasse Tower. If you know Mercure, you will have no surprises, same standard across the world, and no exception here. From a price/value ratio persspective this is perfectly ok. Metro stations all around and huge choise of restaurants and... More

Hotel is need of renovation-had a pipe burst in our room on the last day at Mercure. We didn't realise till we got up and stepped into a puddle!Informed the reception staff immediately, and were promised that somebody would pop in to have a look at it, but nobody did and it seemed that they werent very much bothered about...
