My husband and I usually stay at popular hotel chains when traveling abroad. However, we decided to stay at a more "boutique" hotel this time and I am glad we did. This hotel was charming and quaint. The room was very spacious and the accommodations were great. The only down side is that the plumbing was old so the shower... More

Villa was large and very clean. Its location is 1 block to Notre Dam. Plenty of shopping, sit down eating as well as take away foods right there. We did not have breakfast at Villa dEstrees but others did and it looked very nice. Its a small hotel, staff was extremely nice and spoke great English. The doors are locked... More

Paris is renowned for small rooms in hotels, well this is NOT one of them. This fabulous boutique hotel, moments from the river and the delights of St Germain, brings style, wonderful customer service with a smile and spacious rooms together to provide you with the best little hotel Paris. The sister apartments across the street, Residence D'es Arts, is... More

The location for this hotel is simply FANTASTIC. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are just beautiful. Our room was spacious, the bathrooms large by European standards and the bed was very comfortable. This place is so central that we sometimes would come to our room take a quick break and go back to our iten. Highly... More

If you're looking for a small intimate boutique hotel, this place is fantastic. Really well managed, secure and in the heart of everything. The rooms are well maintained, only 2 rooms per floor, so very private. You are in the city, so expect street walking noise in the evening and early morning for trash/street cleaning. It is not on a... More

I was ready for a cool intimate visit to Paris and thought the VDE would be the choice. The rooms looked nice on the internet and the location was in a super fun and vibrant area of town in the 5th. Upon arrival, I think i made the wrong decision. Not on the area, mind you, but the hotel. While... More

All the places we stayed in France were awesome Hotel Vill d'Estrees was no exception. Great size room and bathroom for Europe standards. Wonderful breakfast and the service was excellent!!! It was close to all the shopping and night life and we also used the metro to get around so very convenient.

Our stay here was a mixed experience. First the good. The location is excellent. It’s an easy walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre. You are right around the corner from the Saint-Michel metro and RER station. For Paris, the rooms are huge. Our room had a good size bath, king bed, sitting area with a couch, chair and TV.... More

We stayed for 6 nights in this lovely hotel. We were very happy with the size of the room, the clean comfortable bed, the mini bar, the room service, the large bathtub, and a special chocolate Easter treat given to us on our last day. Great location, can easily get to metro and RER and lots of restaurants. Easy walk... More

My husband and I spent a night at Villa d"Estrees to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is a delightful hotel, rather like an Italian pensione, with very friendly and helpful staff and lovely big rooms with floor to ceiling windows opening out onto the street below. We stayed in a superior double room and I understand larger rooms are available... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
