Our stay here was a mixed experience. First the good. The location is excellent. It’s an easy walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre. You are right around the corner from the Saint-Michel metro and RER station. For Paris, the rooms are huge. Our room had a good size bath, king bed, sitting area with a couch, chair and TV.... More

We stayed for 6 nights in this lovely hotel. We were very happy with the size of the room, the clean comfortable bed, the mini bar, the room service, the large bathtub, and a special chocolate Easter treat given to us on our last day. Great location, can easily get to metro and RER and lots of restaurants. Easy walk... More

My husband and I spent a night at Villa d"Estrees to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is a delightful hotel, rather like an Italian pensione, with very friendly and helpful staff and lovely big rooms with floor to ceiling windows opening out onto the street below. We stayed in a superior double room and I understand larger rooms are available... More

There is nothing to complain about on this hotel. The bedding was great, super comfortable night's sleep. The shower was warm and inviting, with toiletries included. With an amazing location in St Germain de Pres/Latin Quarter, you are perfectly situated to a number of cafes, restaurants, bars, and a short walk to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and a number of... The experience we had with Hotel Villa D'Estrees was perfect from start to finish. Prior to my holiday my emails were always answered promptly and with lots of great advice. On arriving the staff were wonderful and this continued throughout our 8 night stay. We had a huge room on the 4th floor and even though there was a little... More

A perfect location just off of the busy St. Michel square, walking distance to so many shops and restaurants, metros and night life, but down a quiet street. This is a very small hotel with just 10 rooms, but all the staff were incredibly accommodating and English-speaking. I traveled with my sister, her daughter, and a friend, and we had... More

We spent 5 nights in March 2015 and like the other reviews state, you can't beat the location around the corner from the Seine, the Fontain St. Michel (with tons of shops and restaurants) and the St. Michel metro/train station (it's a direct line to Charles de Gaulle airport!). It is across the alley from a small fringe theater, and... More

My daughter, granddaughter, her friend and I spent 6 nights at this lovely hotel. We had adjoining rooms on the second floor and the rooms are large for Paris, the location is very convenient and there are many places to eat. The Metro stop is only a block away. The staff is extremely helpful and were always happy to answer... More

Our 10-day stay at the Villa D'Estrees while celebrating our 20th anniversary in Paris in December could not have been more perfect for my wife and I and our kids. The hotel is small and charming with only 10 rooms over 5 floors. We had the two adjoining rooms on the top floor and thus the entire floor to ourselves.... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
